The CEO's Regret: His Lost Wife's Secret Twins novel Chapter 218

Chapter 218

Her face twisted with hatred as she turned toward Aria. “And YOU! Everyone should be blaming YOU!

“You should’ve stayed the housekeeper’s kid, complete trash, Emma snarled. “But no, you just had to be Richard and Elaine’s precious biological daughter. Had to dance better than me, be better at EVERYTHING! Everyone loved perfect little Aria! Even Blake couldn’t stay

away from you!”

Emma’s voice rose to a shriek. “Who doesn’t want to be good their whole life? Who doesn’t want to be innocent and kind? But 1

COULDN’T be those things because of YOU! This is ALL YOUR FAULT!”

Richard and Elaine trembled with fury, faces burning red. My head pounded, vision darkening with rage.

Without warning, Aria walked forward and slapped Emma hard across the face.

Emma screamed, touching her cheek. “How DARE you hit me!”

Aria didn’t stop at one slap. She hit again and again, driving Emma to the ground. The room went completely still, everyone too shocked

to move.

Finally, Aria stood over Emma, breathing hard. “Our only mistake was being too damn merciful, not putting you down sooner!”

Emma’s pupils shrank to pinpoints.

Aria moved closer, systematically destroying each of Emma’s excuses. “You blame Aaron for not supporting you? That’s because you were

never a Grant to begin with.”

Another step closer. “You blame Blake for not loving you forever? That’s because you never deserved love in the first place.”

Another step. “You blame me for always doing everything better than you? That’s because you’ve always been completely worthless.”

Aria’s final words hurt more than any physical blow: “You didn’t become this horrible, ugly person. You were always this person.”

Complete silence fell over the room. Then Aria spoke again: “Some people are born evil. They hide their true nature when everything’s going their way, but when threatened, we see who they really are.”

Olivia, Richard, Elaine, and the children nodded in agreement. I said nothing, but anyone could see the difference in my eyes-how I looked at Aria with warmth, and Emma with utter disgust.

Despite her bloody lip, Emma screamed: “You’re just JEALOUS of me!”

She accused Aria of envying her family, her lovers, of punishing her out of pure spite.

Aria laughed coldly. “I have so many ways to make you suffer.”

Her eyes narrowed dangerously. “You killed my father. All the pain you caused me? I’m giving it back to you with interest.”

She mentioned Dr. Smith, saying she’d send Emma to the hospital for a full examination to uncover whatever secret Emma and the doctor

had buried.

Emma panicked visibly at the mention of a hospital exam. She jumped up, terror evident on her face.

“Blake!” she cried desperately. “Help me! You promised you’d take care of my health forever!”

I nodded. “I did promise that. But I trust Aria won’t hurt you. You need this examination.”

Emma’s face contorted with rage. “You’re betraying me! Pushing me toward disaster!”

“It’s just a medical check,” I said, completely confused by her extreme reaction. “How is that pushing you anywhere?”

Her eyes darted wildly, cornered. “This can’t happen,” she muttered.

Suddenly, Emma’s expression changed. Her eyes filled with murderous intent, her face twisted with insanity as she charged toward Aria standing among the wedding guests.

“ARIA!” I shouted, yanking out my concealed gun and aiming at Emma with practiced precision.

*BLAKE!” Emma screamed. “You really gonna shoot the girl who risked her life saving you from the Manhattan fire sixteen years ago?”

My finger froze on the trigger. Memories flooded back-a young girl dragging me from flames, her face obscured by smoke and ash.

In that split second of hesitation, Emma pulled a small knife from within her dress.

Aria tripped on the red carpet, her wedding gown and heels tangling as she fell. She couldn’t get up fast enough.

Emma towered over her, knife pointed at Aria’s chest, eyes burning with murderous hatred.

Then William-my son, only three years old-broke from the crowd of guests, throwing his tiny body over his mother’s.

The knife sank into William’s shoulder with a sickening sound. Blood immediately soaked through his little tuxedo jacket.
