The CEO’s Regret. His Lost Wife’s Secret Twins

Chapter 191

Emma stood, retrieving a glass of water from the bedside table. “You should take your medication. The doctor said you need to stay on

schedule.

She dropped something into the water that dissolved quickly, then handed me the glass. My throat was painfully dry, so I drank half of it

without thinking.

“I’ll stay with you, Blake, Emma said, her voice soft as she placed her hand on my arm. “I’ll always be your most reliable support.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed her taking out her phone, seemingly checking messages. But something about her movements

seemed calculated, staged.

“Emma,” I said, pulling my arm away from her touch. “Look, I don’t need you hanging around playing nurse.”

Her expression hardened for a split second before melting back into concern. “Blake, you’re not thinking straight-

“We’ve been over this already,” I cut her off, my voice cold. “I’m not into you. Never have been. Aria’s the only woman I care about. So stop

trying, okay?”

Emma’s eyes narrowed slightly. “You’re upset. I get it-

“I want to be alone,” I said firmly. “Just go, please.”

I reached for my phone on the bedside table, intending to call for someone to escort Emma out. Suddenly, a wave of dizziness hit me. My body felt unusually hot, a strange warmth spreading through my veins.

“You okay, Blake?” Emma asked, watching me intently. “Your face is all flushed.”

I ignored her, trying to focus on my phone, but my vision blurred. This feeling… it was familiar. A distant memory stirred, one I’d tried to

forget.

“So, you want me to stick around and take care of you?” Emma asked, her voice somehow both gentle and demanding.

I didn’t answer, concentrating on fighting the heat consuming my body. My mind raced back six years, to another night when I’d felt this same unnatural arousal.

Emma knocked my phone away, sending it skittering across the floor. “You won’t need that,” she said, her voice changing to something darker as she began unbuttoning her blouse. “No answer means yes in my book.”

She leaned over me, her partially exposed body too close. ‘Don’t worry about your injuries. I’ll be super gentle.”

Her hands moved to my hospital gown, but I seized her wrist with all the strength I could muster.

Chapter 191

‘You drugged me, I growled.

Emma’s eyes widened with feigned innocence. “What? No way! I just gave you water with your prescribed medicine.”

I flung her hand away, causing her to stumble backward and fall to the floor.

“You’re being paranoid,” she gasped, scrambling to her feet. “This is all a big misunderstanding.”

“A misunderstanding?” My voice was dangerously quiet now. “And what about six years ago? That night I was drugged and ended up with

Aria. Who spiked my drink that time?”

Emma froze. Six years ago? That had nothing to do with me. That was Aria’s-

“Cut the crap!” I shouted, ignoring the pain shooting through my body. The symptoms are identical. You drugged me then, and you’re

trying the same stunt now.”

Emma backed away, frantically rebuttoning her blouse. “Blake, I swear I’m not lying. I would never… why would you even think that?”

I stared at her, controlling my breathing despite the drug-induced heat coursing through me. “Fine. I’ll stop accusing you.”

My hand found the emergency call button hidden beside my bed. ‘We’ll just find out the truth with some hard evidence.”

“What are you doing?” Emma’s voice rose in panic.

Two security guards burst through the door, followed closely by Kevin.

“What’s going on?’ Kevin asked, taking in the scene before him-Emma disheveled in the corner, me visibly struggling in the bed.

“She drugged me,” I said through gritted teeth. ‘Same stuff from six years ago, I need a blood test, right now. Compare it with the results

from six years ago.”

Kevin’s expression darkened as he understood. ‘I’m on it.”

“No! Emma screamed. ‘Don’t test anything! Fine, I admit it! I did put something in your drink just now! And yeah, six years ago, that was

me too!
