The CEO's Regret: His Lost Wife's Secret Twins novel Chapter 184

Chapter 184

BLAKE

My phone buzzes with Jack’s update. He reports having assembled over a hundred security personnel, all ready and waiting for my

command. The men stand prepared, knowing tonight could turn ugly.

“Head to Morgan Mansion,” I tell him, my voice cutting through the car’s silence. “I don’t care what it takes. Tear the place apart if we

have to. Victoria’s not hiding from me anymore.”

Looking at me through the rearview mirror, Jack’s eyes reveal his concern. “What about if someone gets in our way? Your father won’t just

stand back and-”

A cold laugh escapes my throat. The thought of my father standing in my way almost amusing. For years, the man thinking himself untouchable, believing his word remains law in our family.

“He can try to stop us,” I respond, watching buildings flash by outside the window. “But he doesn’t call the shots tonight. Not after what

Victoria did.”

Jack falls silent, his knuckles whitening as he grips the steering wheel. The car accelerating toward Morgan Mansion, each mile bringing us closer to confrontation. The weight of my gun pressing against my side reminds me of how far I’m willing to go.

Family rules never protected Aria. Why should they protect Victoria now?

When we arrived at Morgan Mansion, security immediately blocked our path.

“No outsiders allowed,” one stated flatly.

Jack leaned toward me. ‘She’s definitely inside. I confirmed it. By the way, I arranged for Elizabeth to attend a charity event tonight. She shouldn’t get caught between you and Victoria.”

I nodded. Smart move. Mom didn’t need to witness this.

“Victoria thinks she’s safe because of family rules,” I said. “Wait out here with the men. Be ready.”

The guards flinched as I walked past. They knew better than to directly confront me. I was still a Morgan, after all.

Walter, our longtime family butler, approached as I entered. “Master Blake, Miss Victoria returned about half an hour ago.”

“Walter,” I said quietly, ‘go to your room early tonight. Whatever you hear, don’t come out.”

His eyes widened slightly, but he nodded and disappeared down the hallway.

Chapter 184

I headed straight upstairs, toward my father’s study. That’s where Victoria would run first-straight to daddy for protection.

As I reached the top of the marble staircase, Henderson appeared, trying to look casual.

“Blake, what brings you here so late? Something urgent?”

I didn’t have time for games. ‘Victoria’s in your room. Hand her over. I don’t want to waste any more time here.”

Henderson’s fake smile vanished. “She made a mistake, yes. But you’re her brother, the Morgan heir. You need to stand with family and

protect her!”

I almost laughed. Stand with family? Where was this family loyalty when I needed it?

Growing up, all I heard was “As the heir, you must protect the family reputation” and “Take care of your sister.” I tried so hard to follow the rules, desperate for his approval. But no matter what I did, Victoria remained his favorite.

“Nobody is born with an obligation to stand unconditionally with anyone,” I said coldly. “I know exactly how to handle Victoria.”

Henderson’s face reddened with anger. “Are you really going to challenge me in this house? Risk being disowned by the Morgan family?”

The Morgan family rule: no family member could cause conflict within the mansion walls. Anyone who did would be disowned.

I paused, then smiled slightly. Before I could respond, a gunshot rang out from outside.

Henderson’s face went pale. “A gun? You brought guns to our family home? You ungrateful, rebellious son!”

He positioned himself in the hallway leading to his private quarters. “If you want to get to your sister, you’ll have to step over my dead

body!”

The air thickened with tension. Security personnel on both sides reached for their weapons.

I studied Henderson’s determined stance, then nodded. “Alright then.”

I pulled out my gun and pressed it against Henderson’s forehead. “You’ve always covered for Victoria. You’ve encouraged her to hurt Aria and Matthew. This ends tonight.
