Matthew… Matthew…” Victoria’s voice called out clearly from the video, despite the fact that none of the men in the recording was Matthew.

Gasps erupted throughout the room. Some women covered their eyes while others couldn’t look away from the shocking scene. I heard someone whisper, “Oh my God,” while another mumbled, “Is that really Victoria?”

An older woman in expensive jewelry clutched her pearls and turned away. A business associate of the Morgan family quickly excused himself, clearly not wanting to be associated with the scandal unfolding before everyone’s eyes.

Victoria screamed and lunged toward the projection equipment. “Turn it off! Turn it off right now, damn it!”

Her panic was obvious. She couldn’t understand how I had obtained footage from just last night. Her polished image as the Morgan family

princess was crumbling before everyone’s eyes.

“This is exactly the kind of tactic you use against others,” I said calmly as Victoria frantically tried to stop the video. “The difference is,

I’m showing actual evidence, not making baseless accusations.”

Victoria turned to me, face contorted with fury and humiliation. Her perfectly applied makeup couldn’t hide the rage and fear in her eyes.

“And I have more videos if anyone’s interested,” I added. “You claim to love Matthew while behaving like this behind closed doors. Your

hypocrisy is truly remarkable.

“You bitch!” Victoria screamed, completely losing her composure. “You set me up! You planned this whole thing! Who the hell are you

anyway? What’s behind that mask?”

A few of the older society women gasped at her language, which only made Victoria look worse.

“Set you up?’ I raised an eyebrow. “Did I force you into that hotel room? Did I make you do those things with those men? Did I make you

call out Matthew’s name?”

Several people in the crowd snickered. Victoria looked she might explode.

Emma pushed through the crowd, grabbing Victoria’s arm to steady her. “That’s enough, Arya! This is going too far!”

Emma glared at me. “You’ve destroyed any chance Victoria had with Matthew. You’ve just deepened the rift between the Morgan and

Redwood families. Are you satisfied now?”

Seriously? She was worried about Victoria’s chances with Matthew after seeing that video? These people lived in a different reality.

“Don’t talk to me about going too far,” I replied coldly. “Your friend here was ready to destroy my reputation based on nothing but lies. At least what I’m showing is the truth.”

Victoria seemed to finally comprehend the full impact of what had happened. Her reputation was destroyed. Her chances of marrying into

the Redwood family were gone. The Morgan family name would be dragged through mud because of her behavior.

This is all your fault! Victoria screamed, grabbing a champagne bottle from a nearby table. I’ll destroy you! I’ll rip that mask off and

show everyone who you really are!”

She motioned to several rough-looking men who had apparently been brought as her backup. They started moving toward me, pushing

guests aside.

“Hey, back off!” someone shouted, but Victoria’s goons ignored them.

I managed to dodge Victoria’s wild swing with the bottle and grabbed her wrist, twisting until she dropped it. The bottle crashed to the floor, shattering and sending champagne and glass across the marble tiles.

“You think you’re so smart, Victoria hissed through clenched teeth. “You have no idea who you’re messing with.”

“Actually, I do, I countered. “That’s why I came prepared.”

But while I was handling Victoria, I heard Emma’s voice rise above the commotion.

“Everyone, please calm down! Victoria, Arya, both of you need to stop this right now!”

Too late, I realized Emma’s words were just a distraction. As I held Victoria at bay, Emma lunged forward, her fingers reaching for the

edge of my mask.

I couldn’t free my hands to respond, finding myself in danger.
