The CEO's Regret: His Lost Wife's Secret Twins novel Chapter 105

Chapter 105

‘You’re insane, Blake said coldly.

“I’m honest!” I screamed. “Everyone else pretends to be good. But I see the truth. Take what you want or get crushed.”

“And Aaron?” Richard’s voice broke.

I smiled. “Aaron was a fool. When he woke from that coma and realized what I’d done, he tried to recover. Desperate to expose me.

The memory made me laugh. “So determined. So pathetic. I sent the aide away. Said I’d watch him.” I smiled. “Then I pushed his head

under the water and held it there.”

“I watched him struggle. His weak arms flailing. The bubbles rising. His eyes wide with fear.” I laughed. “It took a few minutes. Then he stopped moving. Drowned right there.”

“You drowned him?” Richard’s voice shook.

“Yes. And everyone thought it was an accident. Poor weak Aaron, slipped and drowned. No one suspected a thing.”

“You monster!” Elaine sobbed. “He trusted you! We all trusted you!”

“That was your mistake,” I hissed. “Trust is for idiots. Aaron, you, Richard-all of you so eager to believe the best in people. You deserved

what you got.”

Blake took a step forward. “Whatever your problem is with the Grants, Aria has nothing to do with it.”

“Nothing to do with it?” My voice rose to a shriek. “She’s the reason I’m here! If she’d just accepted Aaron’s death and moved on, everything would be fine!”

I yanked Aria closer to the cliff edge. Small rocks tumbled down into the abyss. “But no, she had to investigate. Had to find that security footage. Had to ruin everything!”

“That footage proves you’re a murderer, Blake said coldly. “This is over.”

‘It’s over when I say it’s over!” I screamed. ‘I spent twenty-three years building my revenge. Emma got everything while Aria suffered. That was the plan. But then you- I glared at Blake, -you had to fall for the wrong daughter.”

Blake’s jaw clenched.

“I saw you watching her years ago, I continued. “At the Grant estate. Emma was inside, planning your wedding, while you stood in the garden staring at Aria like she was the only person in the world. It made me sick.”

“So you tried to destroy their marriage too, Blake said.

“Of course I did!” I laughed. “Why should Aria have everything? She was supposed to be nothing! A servant’s daughter, used and discarded.

Instead, she caught the great Blake Morgan’s eye.”

My stomach wound throbbed, blood soaking through my shirt. I was running out of time.

“It doesn’t matter now,” I said, my voice eerily calm. “I’m going to prison anyway. Murder charges, kidnapping, attempted murder. But I’m

not going alone.”

“Christine, please, Elaine begged, tears streaming down her face. “She’s my daughter. My real daughter. I just found her. Don’t take her

from me.”

“Your daughter?” I sneered. “You don’t deserve her. You don’t deserve anything. This is what happens when you trust snakes. We bite.”

I took another step toward the cliff edge. The wind howled around us. One more step and we’d both go over.

“You took me in, fed me, clothed me, educated me,” I said, looking at Richard and Elaine. “And I hated every moment. Every kindness was an insult. Every opportunity was a reminder of what I’d never truly have.”

Elaine fell to her knees. “Take me instead! Please! Kill me, not her!”

“How touching,” I mocked. “But your suffering is watching her die. That’s the real revenge.”

My hand trembled as I raised the knife higher. Aria’s breathing was shallow, her face pale from blood loss. Perfect. Let them all see her

die.

“Say goodbye to your wife, Blake,’ I hissed. “Say goodbye to your daughter, Elaine.”

I pressed the blade against Aria’s throat, ready to make the final cut.
