Sebastian had advised her not to tip her hand, but as a wife, standing by while her husband wrapped another woman in his arms would be highly suspicious in its own right.

Pushing her suitcase, Summer marched forward, her heels clicking sharply against the floor.

She was wearing a long trench coat over a crisp white shirt and tailored black slacks. Her dark hair was swept up into a sleek ponytail, and simple but elegant gemstone studs adorned her ears.

Her coat flared dramatically with each confident stride, highlighting her stunning curves and long, slender legs.

She looked fierce, sophisticated, and perfectly dressed for a showdown.

Xavier didn't notice her until she was practically standing over them.

A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes, but he masked it instantly. He casually released Lily and offered a smooth smile. "Summer..."

Summer raised her hand and delivered a stinging slap directly across his face.

She didn't hold back. A vicious red handprint rapidly bloomed on his cheek.

"Xavier!" Lily gasped. Frowning sharply, she shot Summer a deeply offended glare. "What are you doing?"

"What am I doing?" Summer eyed her with a mocking half-smile. "You were just busy pressing yourself against my husband. What do you think I'm doing? I'm catching a cheater."

Summer's voice wasn't overly loud, but it carried perfectly to the surrounding travelers.

Heads turned in their direction, and the crowd began throwing highly judgmental looks at Lily.

Unwilling to let his precious first love's reputation be dragged through the mud, Xavier frowned and snapped, "Summer, don't be ridiculous! This is Lily. We grew up together. I came to pick you up, and I just happened to run into her on her way back. It's been years, so I gave her a polite hug."

To protect Lily's honor, Xavier purposefully raised his voice a notch, making sure the onlookers knew his sweetheart was not a homewrecker.

Summer waved her phone. "Xavier, do you need me to upload the video of that embrace online? Let the internet decide if it was just a polite hug."
