Chloe blushed.“Sorry, teacher, I won’t do it again.”

A follower of Chloe spoke up, “Teacher, Alice has been studying hard. She must know the
answer.”
Now everyone turned to Alice, most of them waiting for a laugh. After all, Alice usually scored lower than Chloe and probably wouldn’t be able to answer either.
But Alice stood up and answered correctly.
The teacher was surprised.“Correct! Alice has been working hard lately. Everyone should learn from her and not slack off.”
Chloe shot a glance at Alice, filled with resentment. If it weren’t for the game taking up her time, she would have definitely answered correctly. Alice had stolen her spotlight. She had to catch up.
After being praised, Alice felt much better. After school, she didn’t go to the infirmary this time but headed straight home to avoid her second brother catching on.
Sure enough, after she returned, the butler kept a close watch on her, making her feel uneasy. After dinner, Alice went straight to her room, locking the door behind her, finally feeling a bit more relaxed.
While doing her homework, she took out her phone. She was torn about whether to message Jack, especially since she hadn’t gone to see him today. But it seemed he wasn’t waiting for her; she was always the one pushing herself to go.
Should she text him? Or wait?
She put down her phone and started her homework, but soon her eyelids began to droop, probably from staying up all night. She leaned on the desk, intending to take a quick nap, but accidentally fell asleep.
The next day, Alice was awakened by her alarm clock. She glanced at the time, surprised it was already morning. She packed her homework and rushed downstairs, hurrying to school.
At noon, she hesitated for a moment before heading to the infirmary. But she didn’t see Jack, so she mustered the courage to ask the doctor inside, “Where’s Dr. Wilson?”
“He’s at lunch.”
Alice nodded, planning to come back after school to find him.
After school that afternoon, Alice went to the infirmary again, but still didn’t see Jack; it was the same doctor from earlier. “Girl, I’m on duty today. Focus on your studies. It’s too early for be thinking of these things.”

Alice blushed but didn’t explain. In the following days, she secretly went to the infirmary but never saw Jack. For a moment, she felt a bit down, having gotten used to him being there waiting for her.
Alice realized she had started to depend on Jack.
She quickly adjusted her emotions; she absolutely couldn’t rely on anyone else. She had to rely on herself in this life.
She calmed down and prepared wholeheartedly for the upcoming monthly exam.
She couldn’t fail.

Alice struggled with her social skills, feeling frustrated as she shut her phone. In a good mood, Alice packed her bag and returned home, only to find the living room bustling at the training camp? with activity. Her brothers were all back, surprisingly not When she appeared, the living room fell silent. It was as if she were the uninvited guest, interrupting the joy of her brothers and Chloe’s family.

The readers' comments on the novel: Six Brothers Plea for Forgiveness (Alice)
This story is incomplete!!! You get us into the story then you leave us with a cliff hanger. Plus there's so many errors. It is obvious that English is second ( or 3rd) language. Author has mixed up names on several characters. Mixed up he/she , him/her. Made story too long by repetitive sentences. Made it look like the reader wasnt able to retain parts of the story by repeating certain aspects. I know authors do that but this author did it too often. This story lets you see what an eye for an eye would mean to some cultures. Needs MAJOR proof reading. Pro: great family drama. The one emotion you feel the most in this story is anger & discuss. There are a few funny (actually hilarious) parts in there. You want the good guy to win even though he may been at fault for something. You want justice for Alice and you want to see her independent from her brothers totally. I feel the author is on the right track but just needs to clean it up....
Except Alice's and Jack's names, all other names are mixed. And why there is LUKE'S FATHER instead of EATHEN...
I want yo ask that wht Alice's surname is keep on changing from Wolsh to Windham to Lu???? And Andrew to Garett? And Jane's name to Chloe as well...
