She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 700

"Let's go. He can't wait."

After parking in the underground garage, they took the elevator up to a casual dining spot.

Rowan carried Pip inside, originally planning to book a quiet private room. But the moment he pushed the door open, Pip began to squirm violently. The little guy twisted his head around, kicking his legs and throwing a tantrum, refusing to stay in an enclosed space.

"Looks like he hates the private room. He wants the lively dining hall," Lyra noted softly from behind.

Rowan glanced down at the fussing baby in his arms. Left with no choice, he turned to the host and requested a window booth in the main dining area instead.

The hall was filled with a warm hum of voices, bathed in soft, bright lighting as guests chatted and laughed. As soon as they settled into the window booth, Pip quieted down. His large, round eyes darted everywhere, excitedly taking in the passing diners and servers.

He noticed the waitstaff passing by, all wearing a specific character headband.

Pip's eyes instantly locked onto them. His tiny finger pointed at a server's head, then he patted his own head, babbling, "Mama, unnh, want..."

"The baby wants that headband," Lyra translated softly for Rowan, amused by her son.

Rowan glanced at the server. After ordering their food, he stood up and walked over.

Tall and striking, his presence commanded attention. The moment he stood, several eyes in the restaurant inevitably drifted toward him. After a brief word with the staff, a server cheerfully went to the back and brought out a headband for him.

When he returned, Rowan said, "They didn't charge me for it. It made me feel a bit awkward."

Lyra suppressed a smile. "You actually know how to feel awkward?"

"Can't you tell I'm a wholesome guy?"
