She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 577

Upon arriving at the study in Blackwood Manor, Rowan pushed aside a hidden panel and retrieved an exquisitely crafted silver handgun.

He ejected the magazine, loaded a single bullet, and headed back to his car.

"What are you doing?!"

Sitting in the passenger seat, Lyra watched him return and a sudden, terrifying thought crossed her mind—he was going to kill her and dispose of the body.

She had tried to get out of the car moments ago, but his bodyguards were stationed right outside. The atmosphere was completely different from before.

Rowan didn't say a word. He simply started the engine and sped off. An hour later, as the view opened up, Lyra realized with a start that he had driven them all the way to the coast.

"What are you trying to do!"

The Albatross, his pristine white private yacht, was docked at the marina.

"Come with me."

Rowan grabbed her wrist, his grip ironclad as he pulled her toward the yacht.

Lyra twisted and struggled frantically, digging her heels into the concrete. But the difference in their strength was insurmountable. She was half-dragged, half-carried onto the deck.

"I don't want to go out on the water. Let me go!" Lyra's voice trembled, her eyes wide with panic.

Rowan ignored her entirely. He slammed the heavy cabin door shut behind them, strode to the helm, and started the engines. With a low roar, the yacht cut through the waves, heading straight for the open sea.

He didn't stop until they were over a mile from the shoreline.

Without a word of explanation, Rowan dragged Lyra out to the edge of the deck. "Didn't you regret saving me? Then let's end it right here. A hard reset."

Rowan pulled out the small silver handgun, forcing the cold, unyielding metal into Lyra's palm.

"Point it at me and pull the trigger. I'll fall right into the ocean."

Lyra's voice broke into a fragile whisper. "Rowan, will you only be satisfied when I'm dead?"

She couldn't actually pull the trigger and kill him. If she killed him with her own hands, she would be plagued by nightmares for the rest of her life, never finding peace.

Making a split-second decision, Lyra violently flung her hand outward. The silver gun clattered loudly against the deck.

"You want me to die? Fine. I'll die. Let me die!"

Lyra spun around and sprinted wildly toward the yacht's railing. When Rowan saw her throw the gun, his first instinct had been to brace for an accidental discharge, which meant he was a split second too late to stop her.

The next moment, Lyra leaped over the edge, plunging straight into the icy depths of the ocean.

The moment Lyra hit the water, she realized the bastard hadn't even tried to stop her.

Remembering she was pregnant, she fought her way to the surface, gasping for air.
