She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 360

That move—cutting off the problem at its source—was truly brilliant.

Sabrina didn't press for more details. She simply lifted her chin slightly.

“Tell me about Abbot.”

Hester's gaze darted away, and she immediately dropped her head, unable to meet Sabrina’s eyes.

Regret gnawed at her. Why had she ever crossed Sabrina? If only she’d kept her head down and minded her own business, none of this would have happened. She wouldn’t be sitting here, suffering Sabrina’s revenge. But it was too late for what-ifs—there was nothing left to hide. Sabrina was like a human lie detector; the minute Hester tried to deceive her, she could sense it immediately.

She didn’t dare lie anymore. The fear of death was unbearable—almost worse than death itself.

Raising her red-rimmed eyes, Hester looked utterly drained, her face gaunt and hollow, stripped of any trace of beauty.

“Abbot... he’s my biological father. I only found out by accident. As for where he is now, or whether he’s still in contact with my mother, I honestly have no idea. Every word I’ve said is the truth. I’m not lying to you.”

Her voice trembled, breaking at the end. “Please, just let me die quickly. I’m begging you.”

That last plea came out almost as a whimper. For a while, Hester had clung to a shred of hope—maybe her mother would come for her, or Hector, with all his resources, would track her down. Maybe she’d get another shot at revenge. But after days of torment, she had nothing left—no strength, no hope. Her mother and Hector would never find her. Sabrina would never let her go.

Sabrina’s face was unreadable. After everything she’d been through, nothing could stir her heart anymore; it was as still as dead water.

Bryce let out a shocked gasp. “Sabrina, are you telling me Sommer cheated on your dad?”

After listening to Hester’s confession, even Bryce couldn’t help but be impressed by her cunning.

As the two began discussing her fate, Hester, terrified they might not believe her, looked up at Sabrina and blurted out, “I’m telling the truth, I swear! Look at me—why would I lie at this point? If you don’t believe me, you can go to Verdant Peak and drag Abbot here. Or you can take a hair sample from both of us and do a DNA test. Then you’ll know if I’m lying.”

Sabrina sensed she was telling the truth. After exchanging a glance with Bryce, she spoke quietly, “Let her rest for today.”

“Yes, ma’am,” came the reply.

They all turned and left the basement.

As they stepped outside, Bryce tried to reason with her. “Sabrina, I really think you should get a DNA test with Desmond. If Sommer cheated once, there’s no reason she couldn’t have cheated again.”
