She Quit Her Family and Found Herself novel Chapter 63

Hulda slowly looked up, meeting Justin's aggressive, warning glare. She calmly pulled her hand from his grip. "If you want this fixed quickly, stay out of my way."

Her voice was completely flat. All she cared about right now was getting the road cleared.

"You..." Justin trailed off, his hand still hovering awkwardly in the air where he had been grabbing her wrist. The way he looked at her began to shift.

What was going on with this woman today?

Why did she seem so entirely different from before?

While Justin stood there in a daze, Hulda was already leaning back under the hood with her tools, systematically addressing the engine's issue.

She wasn't just messing around or fumbling blindly. Her movements were deliberate, targeting the core of the problem with practiced, precise efficiency.

The veteran drivers gathered around watched in amazement, murmuring their approval. "Well, I'll be damned. The kid is actually fixing the thing!"

"Yeah, she's got some serious guts. That's a Panamera. We're talking a six-figure luxury ride!"

Hulda tuned out the chatter completely. Her entire focus was locked onto the car in front of her.

She had to do everything in her power to get this vehicle moving. She absolutely refused to waste her precious time on this ridiculous traffic jam.

The shock on Justin's face only deepened. "Hulda, are you..."

Was she actually fixing his car?

Since when did this woman know anything about engines?

The deep-seated prejudice in his bones made him want to snap another warning at her. But as he watched her serious profile, her intensely focused eyes, and the way her lips pressed into a tight line as she exerted force, the harsh words died in his throat.

Within just a few minutes, Hulda had the problem resolved.

She placed the tools back into the kit and handed it to its rightful owner. Then, she reached up and slammed the hood shut.

"Alright, go try starting it now," Hulda told him.

Justin just stood there, staring at her in complete disbelief.
