She Quit Her Family and Found Herself novel Chapter 131

The families of the two critically injured victims swarmed them.

"Going out to sea was this woman's idea! Now my son's arm is broken, and she's going to pay for it!"

"We were warned about the dangerous weather! Why did you still go?! Now you're perfectly fine, while my husband is in a coma!"

"If anything happens to my son, I'll make you pay with your lives!"

The lobby echoed with the raw, guttural screams of the grieving families.

Onlookers rushed in to pull the furious relatives back, but fueled by sheer rage, they were impossible to restrain. The scene descended into absolute chaos.

Sylvie shrieked as Herbert shielded her behind him, taking several hard blows to his face and body. Aristocratic and refined, he had never been subjected to such violence. All he could do was maintain a stone-cold expression and suppress his raging emotions.

Justin Jameson had no choice but to step forward with his staff, physically wedging themselves between the families and Herbert.

"Please, everyone, calm down. The accident has already happened, and our top priority now is the rescue and medical treatment. Rest assured, we will take full responsibility for all subsequent care."

Though Justin's words were essentially useless in the moment, they managed to marginally soothe the families of the injured.

However, it did nothing to appease Mrs. Coleman. "What about my husband?! Who is going to take responsibility for him?! Who's going to bring him back?!"

She screamed hysterically. Pushed past her breaking point by the assault, Sylvie finally snapped.

"You all chose to get on that yacht! I didn't force anyone! Weren't you all thrilled when we headed out?! What gives you the right to point fingers at me now?!"

The moment the words left her mouth, the fragile peace Justin had just secured shattered.

The families surged forward again, grabbing and cursing.

"You bitch, how dare you! Don't think we don't know what you were up to! All that crap about enjoying the scenery and watching the sunset—it was entirely for your own selfish desires!"

"Exactly! You think we're stupid?! You just wanted to watch some damn sunset with Mr. Jewell! You were too afraid of looking inappropriate, so you dragged the rest of us along as your props!"

"Spit on you both! Shameless! One is married and fooling around with his assistant, and the other is a desperate homewrecker throwing herself at him!"

"If you wanted to die, you should have just killed yourselves! Why did you have to drag our families into it?!"
