She Quit Her Family and Found Herself novel Chapter 60

"You're an adult now, so I'm not going to lecture you. But please, next time you go somewhere like that, make sure you bring a big group of friends," Hulda said gently. She understood the phase. Back then, her own suffocating circumstances hadn't allowed her to rebel, but the deep urge to sneak out and experience the world was a universal feeling.

Brandon arrived quickly. The second he saw Sienna walking out with her head hung low, he immediately smacked the back of her head.

"Ow!" Sienna shrieked, darting behind Hulda. "What if you gave me brain damage?!"

"Good! At least you'd stop causing me so much trouble!" Brandon was trembling with absolute rage. Hearing the full details of what truly happened last night had nearly given him a stroke. He had to choke down two blood pressure pills just to stay upright.

Hulda quickly stepped in. "It's okay, Brandon. She's learned her lesson. She was absolutely terrified last night. Don't be so hard on her."

Brandon turned to her, his face pale with guilt. "I am so sorry, Hulda. I didn't fully grasp the situation last night, and this idiot didn't explain it properly. If I had known, I never would have let you go out there. Thank God you're safe. If anything had happened to you, Dr. Atherton would have literally killed me."

His voice genuinely shook. The sheer terror of what could have happened to his daughter or his junior was too much to bear.

"But we're both fine, right? The guys who did it are locked up. The law will handle them, I promise," she reassured him. She had seen the Fawley family's public disownment statement in the middle of the night.

She figured it was entirely because of Caspian. He must have pressured the Fawley family since Dylan's 'ruined clothes' cost him a major business deal.

Whatever his reasons were, she was painfully aware that he hadn't done it for her. She knew her place.

But with Caspian's immense pressure weighing down on them, the Fawley family wouldn't dare pull any strings. The men who terrorized them were going to face the full wrath of the legal system.

Honestly, they might even face worse.

Seeing the sheer, unbridled fury burning in Brandon's eyes when the men were mentioned, Hulda knew they were screwed.
