She Quit Her Family and Found Herself novel Chapter 106

Every single person in the lobby was now craning their necks, openly staring in their direction. Even though they couldn't hear the exact words, the tension radiating from Herbert and Sylvie was painfully obvious.

"Please, just go. Your timing couldn't be worse." Sylvie's eyes instantly welled up with tears, her voice cracking perfectly on cue. "I know you hate me. If you just leave peacefully today, I promise I'll move out of Mr. Jewell's house immediately. I'll even resign from the company and cut off all contact with him forever. Will that make you happy?"

"Sylvie, what are you saying?" Herbert was horrified. Right in front of everyone, he grabbed her arm. "I will never let you leave the company."

"But..." Her tears spilled over flawlessly. "I can't bear to see you put in such a difficult position. If I don't leave, your wife will never have peace of mind. Herbert, today is too important. We can't risk a single mistake..."

The sight of her tears pushed his fury to its absolute limit. He abandoned all attempts at keeping his voice down. "Security! Get over here and throw this woman out!"

The employees watching the drama unfold were now practically vibrating with outrage.

"Who is that woman? She actually made Ms. Sinclair cry!"

"Yeah, what is her problem? Does she have to come here and cause trouble on our most important day?"

"That's the same woman who was harassing the boss last time. Mr. Jameson kicked her out. She's definitely back to bother him again."

"Exactly. She saw Ms. Sinclair next to him, got jealous, and targeted her until she cried."

"She is so shameless. Just because she has a pretty face, she thinks she can seduce the CEO?"

"Ms. Sinclair is his right-hand woman and our top engineer. We can't let some random crazy person bully her!"

The whispers quickly grew into loud, angry murmurs that easily carried over to the waiting area.

Hulda just looked at Sylvie, taking in the picturesque tears streaming down her pretty face.
