He was definitely losing his mind. Seeing her picking out wine, he had actually been worried she was getting scammed and walked over with the good intention of helping her.
He never expected to be treated like this!
Still, the fact that she knew anything about wine was something he hadn't anticipated.
Hulda... wasn't she just the most ordinary, run-of-the-mill housewife?
For years, her entire life had revolved around Herbert, Miles Jewell, and their family. Aside from doing chores, cooking, and picking up the kid, she just acted like a bitter, neglected woman clinging to her husband.
She offered zero help to his career and couldn't even present herself properly in high society.
That was the impression Justin had held of her for years.
But the woman standing before him seemed like an entirely different person.
Not only could she quickly diagnose and repair a luxury car, but she was now elegantly and confidently selecting premium wines, boasting a knowledge base that seemed to surpass his own...
Just then, the winery manager walked over with the decanted wine and spoke respectfully, "Mr. Jameson, your wine is ready."
Justin suddenly lost all enthusiasm for the expensive bottle. Looking at Hulda, who was treating him like a complete stranger, something inside him snapped. He abruptly ordered the manager to pour him a glass right there.
The manager didn't ask questions; he simply poured a glass and handed it over.
Justin walked back to her side, holding the glass. "Since you're such an expert, why don't you tell me what you think of this sixty-year-old vintage?"
She had zero interest in Justin as a person, but a sixty-year-old wine was intriguing.
She set down the bottle she was holding and leaned in close to the glass, taking a slow, careful sniff.
Seeing her suddenly lean in, her perfectly sculpted nose hovering over the rim of the glass, Justin's hand trembled uncontrollably.
Because of that slight shake, the aromas dispersed, allowing her to catch a critical flaw.
"This isn't sixty years old."
The moment those words left her mouth, Justin lost it. "Do you even know what you're talking about? I paid a fortune for this! Stop spouting nonsense!"
