Despair-2

“Don’t fight it,” he murmured, his voice a sickening mix of soothing and commanding. “You’ll only make it worse for yourself, little luna. And I want to enjoy you for a long time.”

His hand brushed against her cheek, and she shuddered, her skin crawling at the contact. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, but she blinked them back, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing her cry. She would not break. She had to hold on, had to stay strong, no matter how hopeless it seemed.

But as the first Lycan leaned in closer, his hand sliding down to grip her chin and force her to look at him, Lora felt the last remnants of her strength beginning to slip away. The fear was overwhelming, suffocating, and she didn’t know how much longer she could hold on.

In the darkest corner of her mind, she reached out to Tara again, pleading for her wolf to wake up, to give her something, anything to help her fight back. But Tara was still too weak, too distant, the effects of the wolfsbane holding her down like chains.

As the first Lycan’s lips curled into a cruel smile, Lora knew she was running out of time. The door to her escape was closing, and soon, it would be too late.

But in that moment, as despair threatened to consume her, a thought pierced through the fog of her mind: a single, desperate idea. Her Omega’s Fury! But she was too weak, barely standing, and she realized terrified that she couldn’t channel her ability. The injection they gave her really messed with her body, she was like a ragdoll.

Lora’s thoughts were spiraling into a frantic loop of fear and desperation when they were abruptly shattered by the sensation of a rough hand fisting her hair, yanking her head back with a sudden, painful jerk. Her gasp of surprise was cut off as Han, the first Lycan, crashed his lips onto hers in a brutal, possessive kiss. The force of it stole the air from her lungs, and she instinctively tried to push him away, her hands scrambling against his chest. But it was like trying to move a wall of solid stone. Han didn’t budge.

The kiss was harsh and punishing, his teeth biting down on her lips as if to mark her, to claim her in a way that sent waves of revulsion rolling through her. Lora struggled against him, trying to twist her face away, but his grip on her hair tightened, holding her in place. Tears of frustration and fear welled up in her eyes, and she clenched her fists, nails digging into her palms as she fought to remain composed.

Han’s other hand moved between their bodies, slipping under her clothes, and Lora froze in horror as he cupped one of her breasts, his fingers roughly kneading her sensitive flesh. The sensation sent a jolt of pain and humiliation through her, and she wanted nothing more than to scream, to

claw at him until he let her go. But she couldn’t. She was trapped, powerless against the sheer strength of the Lycan.

After what felt like an eternity, Han finally pulled back, breaking the kiss and releasing her hair. He looked down at her with a twisted smile, amusement and satisfaction gleaming in his cold, predatory eyes. Lora gasped for breath, her chest heaving as she tried to collect herself, the taste of blood on her lips from where he had bitten her.

“What a sweet little thing you are,” Han said, his voice low and dripping with condescension. His hand remained on her breast, squeezing lightly as if savoring the feel of her beneath him. “I will enjoy you…”

Lora’s stomach churned at his words, her body trembling with a mix of rage and terror. But before she could muster any response, Han’s smile widened, and his next words sent a cold shiver down her spine.

“Plus,” he added, his tone laced with a cruel, mocking edge, “imagine what the mighty Alpha Storm feels right now through the mate bond. Your betrayal.”

Her heart skipped a beat at the mention of Azriel, the realization crashing down on her like a tidal wave. Azriel would be feeling everything: the betrayal of their bond, the physical agony when she was with someone else.
