Elora’s tears flowed freely as she confided in Mary, her panic palpable in the air. Mary’s comforting
presence helped to soothe her frayed nerves as she handed Elora a cup of peppermint tea.
“Here, drink this,” Mary said gently, offering the warm cup to her. “It’ll help calm your nerves.”
Taking the cup with shaking hands, Elora took a few sips before setting it down on the coffee table. “Thank you, Mary,” she murmured, her voice choked with emotion.
Mary nodded, her expression filled with concern. “Now, tell me, what’s going through your mind?”
“I’m terrified, Mary,” Elora admitted, her voice trembling. “I don’t even know how to take care of myself properly. And now, with a baby on the way… it’s terrifying. I am only 18, no family, no
support, no money.”
Mary listened attentively, her heart aching for the young woman before her. “You’re stronger than you think, Lora,” she said gently. “We’ll figure this out together. But first, we need to know more about the father. Do you remember anything about him?”
Elora furrowed her brow in concentration, trying to recall the details of that fateful encounter in the forest. “All I remember is that he smelled like musk,” she said slowly. “And he had an old scar on his collarbone. And that, after what happened between us, he is an Alpha,” she added, blushing.
Mary nodded, absorbing the information. “That’s not much,” she said thoughtfully. “Where did you
meet him in the area?”
“He was on the Royal pack’s property.” Elora added in shock.
“Hmm.. This is not helping too much, as King Markus has guests all the time, so it could be
anyone. But for now, try to relax. We’ll take this one step at a time.”
Feeling a glimmer of hope, Elora nodded gratefully. “Thank you, Mary,” she said softly. “I don’t know what I’d do without you. But I am really scared.”
Mary listened attentively as Elora expressed her fears and concerns, her heart heavy with
understanding.
“I believe the main question here is, do you want to keep the baby? You will not be judged if you decide otherwise.” Mary asked gently, her eyes filled with compassion.
Elora cupped her stomach with trembling hands, feeling a surge of warmth spread through her chest. Despite her panic and uncertainty, she couldn’t deny the life inside her. “Yes,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “I know it is selfish but, I want the baby.”

Mary nodded in understanding; her expression filled with concern. “I understand your fears, Lore,” she said softly. “But you’re not alone in this. We’ll find a way to keep you and the baby safe.”
Elora’s eyes filled with tears as she nodded, grateful for Mary’s unwavering support. “Thank you, Mary, but my biggest fear is that he or she will be born a rogue, so their entire lives will be mistreated by others. Plus, I don’t have my wolf anymore, so how can I be a good mother to help when the shifting time will come?” she said, her voice choked with emotion.
Mary reached out and squeezed Elora’s hand reassuringly. “We’ll figure this out together. Don’t overthink it for the moment. It is important for you to be healthy,” she said firmly.
“After all that happened, I never imagined that this would be a possibility.” Elora replied, still in
shock.
“But we also need to consider that this is an alpha’s baby,” Mary added after a moment, her tone serious. “Alpha kids are known to be stubborn, dominant, and born leaders. Raising him or her will
be a challenge. Plus, if the father comes across the baby, as per our werewolf laws, he has full
rights to his baby as they are heirs to the pack’s legacy. This is a big risk, as if he is not a good man,
he could take your baby from you.”
Elora’s heart sank at the reminder of their laws. “I know,” she murmured, her mind swirling with worries and doubts. “But I’ll do whatever it takes to protect the baby. Plus, I am planning to stay away from the packs and alphas.”
“OK, sweetie. I believe the next step is to find a doctor for you. A were doctor considering that this
is an alpha child who will come earlier, as these pregnancies are much shorter. Plus, it can be
dangerous for you, sweetie, as the baby is well known to grow the most in the last 2 months and
when a human is carrying the pregnancy, a lot of complications can arise. Considering your
timeline, I believe you are already at the middle of your term,” Mary added.
