They looked at one another and smiled.

“Fisher, this is your bed,” Luke said, pointing to the empty bunk.

Steven smiled and nodded. “Thanks. Also, you guys should just call me Steven.”

Seamus grinned. “Perfect. We’re roommates now, so let’s not make this weirdly formal. Just call me Seamus.”

Luke laughed. “So we’re all on a first–name basis already?”

“Why not?” Seamus said. Then he thought for a second. “Actually, wait. When are your birthdays?”

“March,” Luke said.

Seamus looked at Steven and Chad. “What about you two?”

Steven smiled faintly.

“June,” he said.

Chad responded, “January.”

Seamus clapped his hands once. “That settles it, then. I was born in April. Chad is the oldest, Luke is next, then me, and Steven is the baby of the room.”

He leaned back with a satisfied grin. “Perfect. Now we know the room hierarchy.”

Everyone smiled and nodded.
