“All right. Take your time getting used to the dorm. I’ll go check in at mine. If anything happens, contact me right away.”

Bianca nodded.

Lately, she had been with Steven almost every minute of the day. Now that they suddenly had to separate, she felt oddly unsettled.

But as she watched him leave, her gaze slowly grew firm.

She had promised to protect Steven. Sometimes, he would still have to go out on missions.

And she still had to make sure that promise between them counted…

She had to get stronger as soon as possible, too.

Now that she had the resources, she had to make good use of them.

Steven took the elevator down.

When it reached the first floor, the doors slid open.

A beautiful woman stood outside the elevator. She was tall and striking, with long, slender legs and an elegant, untouchable air.

Her delicate features and graceful posture gave her an air of cold pride.

Lilliana froze when she saw Steven.

The word slipped out before she could stop herself. “Ste…“.

But Steven acted as if he hadn’t seen her at all. He simply stepped around her and walked out of the elevator without the slightest intention of acknowledging her.

A strange, complicated feeling rose in her chest.

A familiar voice from his memories pulled Steven back to the present.

He turned around.

It was Luke Wilder.

He looked exactly the way Steven remembered.

He was tall and thin, with a clean, handsome face that still carried a hint of youth.

His neat buzz cut gave him a slightly roguish charm.

Steven smiled. “Hi, Lu- uh, hey. I was assigned to this dorm.”

Luke paused, wondering if Steven had almost called out his name.

He didn’t think too much of it. He smiled and said, “Come on in. You’re the last one.”

Luke opened the door and led Steven inside.

“Guys, our last roommate is here!”

Steven followed him into the dorm. It still looked just as it had before.

When they heard Luke, the two other guys sitting by their beds immediately stood up.

The chubby one, Seamus Newman, looked a little mischievous. He smiled right away and said, “Hey! Now we’re all here! Nice to meet you. I’m Seamus Newman. I’m from Ashford Awakened High, with a B–rank Divine Sigil. We’ll be roommates from now on!”

Seamus had a goofy grin on his face. It always made him seem a little shifty.
