Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side novel Chapter 63

Bianca shrank back, clearly not wanting to engage. She would follow Steven’s lead, period.

“Why don’t you and Bianca exchange StarComm contacts, Elliot? That way, you can keep in touch.”

Elliot strode forward, all pride and confidence.

“Bianca, what’s your StarComm? I’ll send you a request.”

Bianca shook her head. “I don’t have one. And I don’t need one. Anyone who wants to reach me, they contact Steven. You can add him instead.”

The corner of Steven’s mouth curved upward.

Quick thinking, sweetheart.

The corner of Elliot’s mouth twitched.

“Forget it, then.”

He had zero interest in associating with B–rank trash.

The contempt in the glance he directed at Steven was completely undisguised.

Steven responded with a pleasant, unbothered smile and pretended he hadn’t noticed a thing.

Rowan maintained his composure. “No rush. There’ll be plenty of time for that later. I hope you’ll all get along at the academy.

“We won’t take up any more of your time.”

Steven’s voice was flat. “Take care. We won’t see you out.”

Rowan wore the same easy smile, not a trace of irritation visible at Steven’s bluntness.

But just as they were about to leave-

A commotion erupted outside the courtyard.

Before the Frasers could even step through the

gate-

Three men in distinctly different military uniforms walked in.

Every face in the yard changed the instant they registered who these men were.

Azure Dragon insignia. White Tiger insignia. Black Tortoise insignia.

Three of the four Celestial Armies.

Representatives from all three had come together.

And the silver star gleaming on each man’s shoulder told the whole story.

These were three lieutenant generals.

Meaning all three were at least Level 51, Six–Sigil Divine Kings.

At minimum, they stood on the same level as Jensen himself.

But as members of the three Gelestial Armies, their status was even more elevated.

Even Rowan stopped in his tracks.

He snapped to attention and delivered a crisp military salute.

“Sirs! An honor!”

The Azure Dragon lieutenant general glanced at him. “And you are…?”

Rowan smiled deferentially. “My name is Rowan Fraser, sir. Current head of the Fraser family here in Rowenville. I served 10 years in the military.”

All three men gave brief nods.

The Azure Dragon general spoke curtly. “This doesn’t concern you. We’re here for Blanca White.”

His tone was ice–cold, not even a scrap of courtesy offered.

To him, the head of some minor family in a mid–sized city barely registered at all.

When Steven heard Azure Dragon Celestial Army” and “Wyatt Wesley,” his brow furrowed slightly.

If he remembered right, the Divine Saint marshal who had ambushed Bianca in their past life had been the commander of the 34th Division.

Wyatt spoke with grave authority. “Bianca, we are here on behalf of all three Celestial Armies to formally invite you to join. You may choose any division you wish.”

Wyatt frowned. “Why not? The Celestial Armies are the core fighting force of Draconia. Becoming a member is something every person in this nation aspires to.

I said no. Wherever Steven goes, I go. Please stop trying to convince me.”

All three generals frowned at that.

Off to the side, Rowan and Elliot watched the scene with undisguised curiosity–and, underneath it, their own private calculations. Whatever you do, don’t say yes.

If Bianca went to the Awakened Academy, Elliot still had a shot. If she joined the Celestial Army, his chances dropped to absolute zero.

Right now, Elliot could also qualify for the Celestial Army, but they’d inevitably be assigned to completely different divisions and tiers, making it nearly impossible to ever see each other.

And within the Celestial Armies, the competition was exponentially fiercer. The odds of Bianca even glancing Elliot’s way were astronomically slim.

Steven smiled. “Generals, Bianca has made her decision. She’s planning to attend-”

Shut your mouth! Did I say you could speak?”

Steven didn’t even get through the sentence before Wyatt’s bark cut him off.

Steven’s face went rigid. Son of a bitch. This guy really wasn’t even pretending to be polite.

What, I can’t even say a few words?

Without his say–so, Bianca wouldn’t follow any of them anywhere. He’d stake his name on it.

Over by the gate, Elliot sneered. Trash pretending to be important. Without Bianca, what was he?

He was nothing.

He was just a B-

The moment Wyatt barked at Steven-

Something inside Bianca shifted. The timidity vanished, and her eyes turned icy.
