Chapter 62 The Frasers Come Calling

One was a middle–aged man. The other was a familiar face around their age.

It was Elliot!

An SS–rank Divine Sigil Awakened from Aethercrest Awakened High.

He was the heir to the Frasers–Rowenville’s number–one family.

Elliot’s appearance caught Steven off guard. The guy was practically a golden boy in his own right–wha was he doing showing up here?

He was a hot commodity himself, and yet here he was in person.

Elliot’s gaze locked onto Bianca the instant he walked in.

That trademark heartthrob smile appeared on cue. “Bianca, hi. We met yesterday. I’m Elliot Fraser.”

He extended his hand a second time, polite as ever, clearly angling for a handshake..

But Bianca wasn’t having any of it.

She shifted almost imperceptibly closer to Steven.

Steven immediately grabbed Elliot’s hand himself.

“Hey, hey! I know who you are–the only SS–rank at Aethercrest Awakened High. Great to meet you. Bianca’s a little shy, don’t mind her. Come on, sit down.”

Having his hand seized by a B–rank-

A flicker of cold disdain crossed Elliot’s mind. Since when did trash like this get to touch him?

If it weren’t for Bianca, this guy wouldn’t even be worthy of standing in his presence.

Elliot’s expression stiffened for a fraction of a second before he smoothly withdrew his hand.

With just a hint of visible disgust in his eyes.

Steven couldn’t have cared less.

You want to touch my future wife’s hand?

In your dreams.

“Well, you must be Steven.” The middle–aged man beside Elliot spoke up with a practiced smile.

Steven turned to him with a grin.

“That’s me And you are…?”

Rowan returned the smile. “I’m Elliot’s father, Rowan Fraser. We came to pay our respects today. Just a small token–nothing much.”

As he spoke, Rowan pulled several items from his spatial converter and arranged them neatly on the floor.

It was an impressive haul. There were stacks of divine crystals.

There were also A–rank weapons, origin crystal arms, and custom–fitted battle armor.

All top–tier equipment–though notably, the weapons and armor were clearly meant for Bianca. There was nothing for Steven.

“Mr. Fraser, that’s way too generous. We couldn’t possibly accept something like this for no reason.”

Rowan shook his head with a warm smile. “As Rowenville’s only SSS–rank–and one who awakened at the same school as my son, no less–she absolutely deserves it.

Steven scoffed inwardly. You think you can steal my girl? Does Elliot really think he’s worthy?

Steven’s internal sneer was sharp. Drop the act.

Rowan looked at Steven with mild surprise. Was this kid deliberately picking a fight?

The nerve on this boy. Zero situational awareness.

A seasoned fox, that Rowan. Divine Generals, Divine Kings–ranks that a B–rank like Steven would never touch in his lifetime.

A trace of disdain flickered across his features. What kind of slum was this?

“Bianca, you’re an SSS–rank prodigy now. There’s no reason to live in a place like this. I’ll have my father set up a villa for you in the city center. It’ll be much more convenient to get to the academy.”

Rowan nodded. “Easy. I’ll have someone arrange it immediately.”

Bianca could feel the tension crackling beneath the surface.

Something about Elliot and his father just rubbed her the wrong way.

She shook her head. “Mr. Fraser, please take everything back. We haven’t accepted these kinds of gifts from anyone all day. The academy already promised me that if I want anything, I just have to ask.”

Hearing this, Rowan’s expression shifted almost imperceptibly.

“Was it Frank who made that promise? So you’re not joining the military or another academy?”

Steven was about to cut in-

But Bianca had already shaken her head. “I’m staying at the Rowenville Awakened Academy.”

Steven sighed internally. She was still too inexperienced.

The man had obviously come fishing for information about her choice.

Rowan smiled thinly. “Well, if that’s the case, I won’t push.

“But Elliot and Bianca should still get to know each other. They’ll be working together plenty in the future.

“After all, those two have the highest–ranked Divine Sigils in the entire Rowenville Awakened Academy.”
