Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side novel Chapter 438

438 Synchronized Annihilation

Calix’s anger finally erupted in full.

The

power of his four–sigil pattern flared across his body.

“Die!”

He spun his war hammer through the air.

Winds howled outward in widening rings, tearing through the battlefield like a gathering storm.

“Earthshatter!”

Only now did the true might of a Divine General reveal itself.

Calix brought the weapon crashing downward.

The strike descended toward Steven and the others with terrifying force.

For a fleeting instant everyone seemed to glimpse the outline of a colossal spectral hammer hanging above them, more than ten feet across and falling from the heavens.

If that attack landed, death would be the best outcome. Survival would likely mean broken bodies and shattered combat potential.

The gulf between a Divine General and everyone present was simply too vast.

Meeting that kind of force head–on was madness.

Yet they did not scatter. Instead, six voices rose in a single, defiant cry.

They ignited their sigils in a blaze of desperate glory, each one pouring the entirety of their being into a single, coordinated counterstrike.

Fiona moved first, her blade tracing an arc that summoned the Frostdragon Thousand–Blade Cleave.

Ice ran wild.

A cascade of glacial steel erupted from her sword in a torrent of frozen edges.

Beside her, Bianca’s gaze sharpened.

Flames engulfed her body. The terrifying pressure unique to an SSS–rank awakened fully.

A colossal sword of fire materialized above her. Its edge distorted the surrounding space as it cut forward.

Her Third–Sigil Pattern Power.

Edric and Olivia unleashed their own Four–Sigil Pattern Powers in tandem.

Nicole vanished into the shadows. Darkness folded around her like a cloak as she slipped through the

battlefield unseen, circling behind Calix.

Meanwhile, Steven spun his spear. Wind and fire erupted around him in violent currents.

His third Wind–Fire Divine Sigil devoured power ravenously, drawing everything into itself until a towering vortex of flame and gale coiled around him.

He hurled it forward with a roar.

“Windfire Voidstorm!”

Everything happened within the span of a heartbeat.

Finished

All of their attacks converged upon Calix’s colossal hammer in a collision that painted the world in white.

Boom!

The impact was cataclysmic.

The six of them hung suspended in the aftermath, their faces twisted with exertion, their bodies trembling from the sheer expenditure of power.

Shockwaves rippled outward in concentric rings, flattening the surrounding beasts and sending debris spiraling into the air like ash from a volcano.

The disparity was too great.

Trying to clash head–on like this wasn’t ideal. They were facing a Divine General, after all.

Calix possessed at least two hundred thousand in just Strength alone.

The comparison wasn’t even fair.

They were flung backwards in six different directions, each one crashing to the ground with a sickening thud.

Blood trickled from the corners of their mouths, red and bitter.

But they had not failed entirely, for when the dust cleared, Calix’s invisible hammer had been consumed, worn down to nothing by the sheer weight of their defiance.

Calix lowered his weapon, eyes blazing. “You actually think you can beat me?”

He swung his hammer in a lazy arc and advanced upon them.

Steven’s eyes hardened into chips of flint, cold and unyielding.

They could not afford to sustain serious injuries.

Not with the endless tide of beasts still pressing in from all sides.

His gaze flickered toward Bianca, and even without words, even without a gesture, she understood. Their bond had been forged in fire and blood, a communion that transcended language.

But that same power would leave her draged, a hollow sheli incapable of lifting a blade, a sacrifice too great to make unless all other potential paths had been sealed.

In the span of a single breath, he was before Calix.

The Divine General’s hammer swept up to meet the thrust, deflecting it with contemptuous ease.

“Go to hell!

His companions closed in from every direction, each one pouring their remaining strength into a desperate offensive.

“I’ll bring an end to all your pathetic lives!”

His hammer spun in a wide arc that swept them all aside like leaves before a hurricane.

The resulting force blasted everyone away.

The power differential was that of an adult swatting away children, absurd and absolute.

But combat was not merely a contest of strength.

Calix’s eyes glinted with manic glee. All that display just for them to perish into nothing.

Meanwhile, Steven rode the recoil skyward.

Now. This was the moment.

His gaze focused, his right eye burning with an inner fire as the third Beast–Type Divine Sigil began to pulse with frantic intensity, drawing deep from the wellspring of his psychic strength.

More than 20,000 points of psychic strength. Far beyond what he had possessed when he first awakened the ability.

Steven’s expression twisted with ferocious determination.

‘God–Slaying Spear!”

The signal was given. His teammates understood instantly.

No matter how battered they were, they charged again.

“Kill them!”

They adjusted their positions and sliced through enemies without restraint.

Calix snarled.

But at that exact moment, Steven’s eyes flashed with icy intent.

A spear appeared. Invisible. Intangible. A weapon seen only by him. The psychic spear was larger and more terrifying than any he had ever created before.

It devoured 80 percent of his remaining psychic strength in an instant.

Then it launched.

Calix felt something shift in the air, a prickle at the base of his skull that raised every hair on his body.

His instincts screamed a warning that he could not understand, because the threat came from no direction he could see.

He laughed again, drowning out the unease, because what could these insects possibly do to him?

Then the spear struck.

The agony that exploded inside his skull was beyond anything he had ever experienced, beyond the capacity of mortal suffering to describe.

It felt as though something had pierced straight through his skull, driving from one side of his head to the other. There was no blood no visible injury, but the pain was undoubtedly real.
