Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side novel Chapter 364

Chapter 364 Confrontation

“You absolute monster!

“Steven is going to make you pay for this!”

Nelson’s voice gave out before he could say anything else.

Blood dripped steadily from his wounds.

He’d ended up in the same condition as Seamus, Luke, and Chad.

They were barely hanging on to consciousness.

Lilliana’s heart pounded with fear too, though she managed to hold onto a sliver of composure.

She turned her eyes on Abigail.

“Abigail, the academy and the military will come after you for this!”

Abigail studied Lilliana’s flawless pale skin and her figure with open hunger.

She reached out and groped her without any shame at all.

“Get your filthy hands off me, you twisted freak!” Lilliana spat the words out with venom.

Abigail’s smile only widened, twisted and gleeful.

“Already losing your composure? Once I finish off that little wretch Steven, I’m going to enjoy every inch of you properly.”

She pulled out a length of iron chain.

The chain cracked across Lilliana’s body with brutal force.

Pain tore through Lilliana instantly.

“Abigail!”

“I love watching girls like you try to hold onto that innocent act. Keep pretending you’re pure, sweetheart. Let’s see how long that lasts. Once you’re mine, I’ll turn you into something much more interesting. No

rush.”

Lilliana’s eyes burned with pure fury.

She tried to call on her Divine Sigil’s strength, only to find she couldn’t reach it at all.

“Don’t bother wasting your energy,” Abigail said with a smirk. “I already gave you a little injection earlier.

“You know, I’m genuinely curious why you bothered sticking your nose into this.

“I only grabbed Steven’s friends, not yours. So why follow them here?

“Don’t tell me this is about Steven.”

Abigail’s smile turned sly and venomous. “That doesn’t make sense, though. According to what I’ve heard, Steven cut ties with you ages ago. Otherwise I would’ve grabbed you directly instead.

“Or did Steven stop wanting you, and now suddenly you want him?”

Something in Lilliana’s expression froze at that.

Even she felt a flicker of confusion at her own reaction.

Why had she even reacted the way she did back then?

This situation had nothing to do with her. She should have stayed out of it entirely.

No.

Lilliana’s mind cleared. She’d simply changed.

She could admit that about herself now.

She didn’t want to be that old version of herself anymore, the one who only chased whatever benefited her

most.

Living like that had been exhausting, and hollow underneath it all.

After spending real time working through her own thoughts, she’d realized something. Lowering her guard a little had actually brought genuinely good things into her life.

She’d never truly loved Steven, not from the start.

What she’d actually struggled with was the sudden absence of his attention, once he stopped caring about her the way he used to.

She understood now. She’d simply never adjusted to losing that part of her life.

But after Steven’s harsh words finally snapped her out of it, she’d found real friendship elsewhere, and that was when she truly saw herself clearly for the first time.

That was exactly why, the moment she saw Nelson get taken, she’d contacted Steven right away.

“None of your business, you sick freak!” Lilliana snapped.

Tue, Jun

seen everything happening here. You really think I’d just release you now?

“Abigail!”

Abigail’s eyes lit up with manic delight as she turned toward the distant entrance.

“There he is! Steven, I’ll give you credit, you’ve got nerve showing up!

“Tonight, I send you to your grave!”

Steven stepped into the warehouse, a space that stretched out across thousands of square feet.

The moment he crossed the threshold, he felt every signal around him go dead.

No way to call for help. No way to receive anything sent to him either.

His eyes locked instantly onto the five figures hanging at the far end of the building.

Nelson and Seamus’s group were already drenched in blood.

They were barely clinging to consciousness.

They caught the sound of Steven’s voice the second it rang out.

Seamus broke down sobbing.

“Steven… please… save us…”

He was still young, and the fear of death gripped him completely.

Chad, their leader, reacted differently.

He summoned every ounce of strength left in him and screamed. “Run! Get out of here now!”

Luke managed to claw back a little energy and joined the warning. “Steven, go! This is a trap!”
