Chapter 248 Alan’s Attack

It was the aura radiating from ‘Alan that made his teammates‘ hearts leap into their throats.

Every one of them stared, barely breathing

Sebastian swallowed hard.

Finished

FourSigil, and he’s already using his wind attribute to float off the ground. How is that even possible at this level? And what in the world is he putting out right now? It feels like ten of me wouldn’t add up to one Alan.

Deep below the city’s surface, Lars slammed his voice into the earpiece.

K

“Hugo! Let it take Alan’s hit and then release the Celestial Core! I want to see what Alan does with that!”

On the surface above, the Phantom Moon Fox registered Alan’s presence and the force gathering around him

The Fox’s tail curled around the Celestial Core in its mouth, that massive iron–like sphere locked tight in its grip.

Deep in the creature’s throat, something terrible was building.

A beam of concentrated destructive force was coalescing in the darkness between its jaws.

The Fox’s crimson eyes blazed with a savage, unhinged intensity, and a raw, vivid wound gaped across its abdomen, soaking its pale fur with blood.

The injury didn’t slow it down in the slightest.

Every member of the squad felt the energy building in the Fox’s mouth, and the number that came to their minds for comparison was their best origin energy cannon at full charge.

Whatever was gathering in that creature’s throat made the cannon feel like a small thing

Cold ran down every spine in the formation.

A direct hit from that would kill all of them. Every option in that moment reduced to one thing: absolute: trust in Alan.

The Phantom Moon Fox threw its head back.

Then the beam tore free from its jaws.

It punched through the air like a siege weapon, close to seven feet across. and everything it grazed on its path through the ruins simply ceased to exist, vaporized into dust, space itself seeming to warp and buckle around the impact zone.

Alan was already prepared.

Chapter 248 Men’s Attack

The whole thing happened in the span of a single breath.

Fuished

Alan floated 40 feet above the ground, and in that suspended momen he looked less like a man and more like something born from the wind itself, every barrier between the fighter and his weapon dissolved.

Alan’s roar shook the air.

He swung the blade with everything he had, every fragment of his will and spirit channeled into a single

arc.

Every teammate present witnessed it. Every squad racing toward that position witnessed it. Every military official watching through the Surveillant feed witnessed it.

And it shook them.

A wall of wind materialized in front of the squad.

It rose dozens of feet tall, stretched dozens of feet wide, and slammed into the incoming beam at full force.

Everyone watching expected the beam to tear straight through it. But what happened next stunned them.

The wall caught it and redirected it upward.

The beam shot into the sky and detonated in the upper atmosphere.

A thunderous concussion rolled across the city.

Everyone stood in stunned, total silence.

That’s a FourSigil Divine Knight?

That wall’s enormous. He just generated a wall that size and redirected a level 5 beast’s fullpower strike with it.

This is unbelievable.

He just dealt with it like it was nothing.

Alan gave it no time to finish.

The blade landed.

A shockwave rippled through the ruins.

The Phantom Moon Fox screamed and crashed to the ground, blood erupting from the wound across the crown of its head, crimson spreading across every surface in sight.

Alan followed it down like a storm.

Another strike came before the Fox had recovered, fast and merciless.

The Fox’s survival instincts kicked in and it swung a razor–edged claw to intercept, moving on pure reflex.

Light flashed where blade met claw.

The Fox launched backward again, and the claw it used to block hung in ribbons, torn open from the base to the tip, soaking the ground beneath it.

The squad stared.

A level 5 beast was driven back twice in quick succession by a Four–Sigil Divine Knight who hadn’t even activated his sigil pattern power yet.

Alan moved to press the advantage, and then something subtle shifted in his expression.

There was a flicker of wrongness, barely enough to register, but it was there.

In that same moment, the Celestial Core shipped free from the Phantom Moon Fox’s tail. It struck the

Finished

The sound of it landing ached every person present, and an electric current of reaction ran through the entire formation at once
