Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 460

"!!!"

Percival froze, his face registering utter, unadulterated shock.

Hearing the words "thank you" from his famously ice-cold son was rarer than a blue moon.

"Ahem!" He cleared his throat to mask his reaction, his aged face actually flushing slightly. "There's no need to thank me... I'm your father. Oceanic Logistics was always meant for you."

He looked at Pierce, his gaze softening completely. "After all, you are my only son."

Pierce still didn't respond to the sentimental words, but his cold features didn't display their usual resistance, either.

For Percival, this was a massive breakthrough—a sign that the ice was finally thawing.

"Pierce, over all these years abroad, I've built up my own empire," Percival said, his smile fading into a grave, authoritative tone. "Oceanic Logistics is just the tip of the iceberg."

A ruthless, domineering glint flashed in his eyes, but as he looked back at Pierce, it melted into absolute indulgence. "Whenever you're ready, everything I have... every single asset... is yours to command."

Pierce's pupils contracted slightly, a shockwave rippling through his chest.

He had investigated it secretly before; Percival's overseas empire was staggeringly vast. In truth, it was easily a match for the Quincy family of Highcrest.

Though this man had left Cloudhaven in defeat all those years ago, he had carved out a bloody path in a foreign land, writing his own legendary saga as a formidable kingpin.

After a long silence, Pierce finally lifted his gaze, looking directly into his father's eyes, and gave a firm nod. "Alright."

For the very first time, he accepted this heavy, unconditional fatherly love.

Percival stood frozen in place before sheer ecstasy washed over his face, his voice trembling slightly. "Pierce, does this mean... are you forgiving me?"

Pierce closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. His voice was low, slightly raspy. "The word 'forgive' is too heavy right now. But... I'm no longer rejecting your care or your help."

"Just give me some time."
