Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 400

Warren froze slightly, but quickly shook his head with absolute certainty. "Impossible! Ignis Global and Draco Enterprises are currently known as the Twin Tigers. As they say, two tigers can't share one mountain. A war between them is inevitable. The leverage I have is exactly what Ignis Global needs to crush Draco Enterprises!"

Barrett narrowed his eyes, studying Warren coldly, and said nothing more.

Some people just had to hit a brick wall before they understood pain.

"Let's go inside," Barrett said evenly.

Warren reined in his emotions and stepped behind the wheelchair, pushing Barrett toward the entrance.

Just then, Barrett caught sight of a familiar figure in his peripheral vision.

Sensing his gaze, Mavis looked over from a distance. Their eyes met, and they shared a brief, silent nod before looking away.

Mavis was attending today as the representative of The Osborne Family.

After her crushing defeat yesterday, she had slinked back to Barrett's residence, only to be subjected to a brutal reprimand.

Fortunately, Barrett hadn't completely destroyed her. Instead, he gave her one last chance to represent the Osbornes, allowing her to grasp a final lifeline in her despair.

But she knew better than anyone that this was her last shot.

If she screwed this up too, the abyss waiting for her would be inescapable. Being a pawn for The Osborne Family meant she had to prove she could draw blood. The moment she lost her usefulness, she would be ground into dust.

Phoenix, Meredith... today, I will make you pay for crossing me!

Mavis inhaled the cool air, hiding the darkness in her eyes. Wearing sharp high heels, she held her head high and walked into the venue.

Just as she stepped through the doors, a sleek black Maybach glided smoothly to a stop outside like a phantom.

The door opened, and Silas stepped out. Dressed in an impeccable tailored suit, he looked like a peacock ready to fan its feathers, the word 'victory' practically written across his face.

"Penny, when we meet the CEO of Draco Enterprises later, you must perform well," Silas turned to his daughter, his voice dropping into a stern command. "If you can win him over, our family will reclaim its throne at the top of Cloudhaven!"

Penelope frowned, worry pooling in her eyes. "Dad, we don't even know his name or what he looks like. How am I supposed to win him over?"

"Hmph, is that all the ambition you have?" Silas scoffed, looking at her as if she were a massive disappointment. "You are my daughter. You have the looks and the pedigree. In all of Cloudhaven, only a man of that caliber is worthy of you!"

Penelope bit her lip, then nodded firmly, a spark of fiery ambition igniting in her eyes.
