"Meredith, get out of the way! Are you just going to watch this shady guy kill Grandpa?" Marcus roared furiously.

Milo's face showed his inner struggle as he tried to persuade her. "Meredith, I know you're desperate to save him, but... this is no time to play games."

"I believe in Cyrus." Meredith didn't yield an inch. "Because he is the real deal."

Seeing that Cyrus had already inserted several needles, Marcus and Milo broke into a frantic sweat. Just as they were about to force their way through to pull him away—

Saying that, she shot a pointed glance at the old man who was attempting to quietly back away.

Thaddeus naturally caught this. He immediately waved his hand. "Guards, lock down the ward. Don't even let a fly out."

"Yes, sir."

The bodyguards instantly closed in, sealing the ward's doors completely shut.

Seeing this, the old man's legs went weak from terror, and cold sweat streamed down his face, yet he could only grit his teeth and try to hold it together.

Now I've been subjected to this massive humiliation. If word gets out, I'm afraid neither the Prescott nor the Miller family will be able to handle the fallout."

"Phoenix!" Julian's heart tightened as he yelled furiously. "Make your man apologize right now. Otherwise... even our grandfather won't be able to protect you."

"Phoenix, your friend went way too far," Phoebe chimed in, looking resentful. "This is the Azure Healer. How could he just hit him? Are you trying to push our families into a pit of fire?"
