Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 118

"Ms. Prescott!"

A chorus of respectful greetings echoed from outside the door. The voices were perfectly synchronized and submissive, like subjects welcoming a queen inspecting her territory.

Hearing the grating display, Ian's handsome face instantly darkened. "I didn't get this kind of treatment when I came back! She's just a piece of trash. What gives her the right?!"

"Ian, calm down." Vanessa quickly pressed her hand against his, lowering her voice. "Ever since Phoenix came back and threw her little tantrums, the servants have been terrified of her. It's fear, not respect."

"We need to keep her steady for now. We can't meet her head-on."

"Mom, what's wrong with you?" Ian frowned, his eyes full of disbelief. "You and Dad are the heads of this family. Since when does that piece of trash call the shots?"

"Ian!" Warren barked with a dark expression, a flicker of apprehension in his eyes. "That wretched girl has Pierce Sterling backing her, and your grandfather is supporting her too. She's completely lawless now. Starting a fight with her right now is unwise."

"We have to endure this and wait for the right moment to deal a fatal blow."

Seeing his parents acting so cowardly only fueled Ian's explosive frustration.

As a top-tier celebrity, he was used to being worshipped, surrounded by flowers and applause. How could he possibly tolerate the same trash he used to trample in the dirt now riding on his head?

But under the pressure of his parents, he forced himself to suppress his fury.

At the entrance, Phoenix walked in, holding Meredith's hand.

The two of them immediately spotted Ian sitting on the living room sofa, radiating gloom. His eyes were fixed on Phoenix like poisoned daggers.

Phoenix didn't even bat an eyelid. She pulled Meredith toward the second floor, acting as if she were walking past thin air.

"Phoenix! Do you even respect me as your brother? Or Mom and Dad?" Ian finally couldn't hold back and snapped coldly. "You see your elders and don't even say hello. Where are your manners?"

Phoenix paused her steps. She glanced over her shoulder at him, her tone freezing. "Ian, when you were humiliating me at the dealership, I didn't see any brotherly affection from you. Calling me trash, a country bumpkin, an ex-con... What, you come home and suddenly want to play the respected elder?"

"Exactly! If you guys don't treat Phoenix like family, why should she treat you like human beings?" Meredith ruthlessly twisted the knife.

"You're out of control!"

Ian slammed his hand on the table, the loud crash making the teacups rattle. He completely abandoned his "gentle heartthrob" persona, letting all the humiliation he suffered earlier erupt. "This is the Prescott family! Since when does an outsider have the right to interrupt?"

Phoenix turned around, the temperature in her eyes dropping below freezing.

"What are you doing?! Stop!"

Warren and Vanessa paled in horror. They frantically jumped up and blocked the bodyguards.

"This is mutiny! Have you all forgotten who the master of this house is?" Warren's face was livid as he glared authoritatively at the bodyguards. He wanted to endure the situation, but this was literally entirely crossing the line. It was absolutely unbearable!

"Mr. Prescott, that is an excellent question." Phoenix took a slow, deliberate step forward, admiring the furious trembling on Warren's aged face. "Lawrence, enlighten them."

"Yes, Ms. Prescott."

Lawrence took a step forward and announced expressionlessly, "The property deed to this estate has been transferred to Ms. Prescott's name. Therefore, Ms. Prescott is the sole owner of this home."

"Furthermore, when the property transfer was completed, my employment, as well as the employment of all the staff in this house, was transferred directly under Ms. Prescott's authority."

Those words struck like a thunderbolt.

Warren swayed on his feet, all the color draining from his face. "What did you say? How could the deed be in her hands? Wasn't it in Phoebe's name?!"

He whipped his head around, his glaring eyes piercing Vanessa. "Vanessa! What the hell is going on?!"
