"Vincent and Daniel have been close friends for years, until Sabrina enters the picture and drives a wedge between them. While discussing marriage with Vincent, Sabrina is secretly seeing Daniel on the side—and that is how the whole mess comes to light. The truth is, Sabrina wants it all: Vincent's commitment and Daniel's attention. So when she gets called out, she really has it coming..."
Vanessa didn't make it halfway through that blogger's take before she snatched her tablet off the bed and hurled it onto the floor.
The device hit the ground with a crack, splitting into pieces.
Fuming, she stormed out of the bedroom—only to run straight into Vincent in the hallway.
"Ouch!" Stumbling back, she winced.
Vincent reached out to steady her, his expression darkening. "Where are you going in such a hurry?"
"I'm going to find Sabrina," Vanessa shot back, her voice sharp with anger.
Vincent's tone cooled. "What for?"
Vanessa glanced up nervously. "Daddy... are you mad?"
He brushed a bit of lint from her sleeve, his face unreadable. "Why would I be mad?"
Her face scrunched up. "Sabrina and Daniel... they... they..."
She stumbled over her words, too flustered to finish.
Vincent frowned. "They what?"
"They kissed..." Vanessa whispered, just as a housemaid started up the staircase.
Noticing the tension, the maid hesitated before speaking softly, "Mr. Stewart, Ms. Monroe is here."
Vincent gave Vanessa a reassuring pat. "Alright," he said, then headed downstairs.
Halfway down, he spotted Sabrina about to come up.
"Sabrina."
She looked up, anxiety written all over her face. "Vincent, please—you have to believe me."
Still unaware of the news, Vincent asked, "Believe what? What's going on?"
Vincent ruffled Vanessa's hair, a low chuckle in his voice. "I'm not going anywhere, kiddo. I'll always love you."
But Vanessa only cried harder. "Just please be okay... please."
That morning's news had made her feel like her world was crumbling. If Sabrina stopped loving her too, then who would really be there for her?
Besides her father, no one else in this world seemed to care—and that thought was too much to bear.
After breakfast, Vincent drove to the office alone, while Sabrina stayed behind with Vanessa at Ravenshade Villa.
The moment he stepped into the corporate lobby, he noticed the sideways glances and hushed tones among the employees.
Inside the executive elevator, briefcase in hand, he wondered what kind of story could make his staff act so cautiously around him.
When the doors opened on his floor, an uneasy silence hung in the air—no one met his eyes, let alone spoke to him.
Vincent ignored it and walked into his office.
Settling behind his desk, he took out his phone and began scrolling. Within minutes, the tabloid headlines and social media frenzy told him everything: stories claiming Sabrina was only after his money, that her real feelings were for Daniel; others arguing the evidence was clearly fabricated—after all, what woman would choose Daniel over a man of Vincent's wealth and influence?
