No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 692

The internet was buzzing with all sorts of takes, but Vincent couldn't have cared less. At this point, he was practically numb to the noise.

He set his phone down and pushed the whole thing out of his mind. Maybe it was because he trusted Sabrina—or maybe, deep down, he just didn't see the situation as something worth his energy.

He'd barely set the phone aside when Abbott knocked on his office door. "Mr. Stewart, Mr. Lennox is here to see you."

Vincent glanced toward the door, paused a beat, then replied, "Send him in."

A moment later, Daniel pushed through the door into the CEO's office. He looked exhausted, like he hadn't slept all night.

Vincent studied him briefly. "You haven't been getting much rest lately, have you?"

Daniel didn't bother denying it. "No, I haven't."

"Why not take some real time off?" Vincent pressed.

Daniel ignored the question. His gaze was steady, almost challenging. "Vincent, I came here to tell you something. That kiss with Sabrina—it happened. And my feelings for her—they're real, too."

Vincent leaned back in his chair, looking up at Daniel with an unreadable expression. "You came all the way down here just to say that?"

"Yes," Daniel said firmly.

A faint, humorless smile touched Vincent's lips. "And you honestly think I'd believe you?"

Daniel held his ground, calm and composed. "Believe what you want. It's the truth."

Vincent turned his eyes toward the window, his voice dropping slightly. "Daniel, you should go. Instead of wasting your breath here, maybe you ought to focus on sorting out your own mess."

Seeing how unmoved Vincent appeared, Daniel's frustration boiled over. "Vincent, I'm telling you—I kissed her. I didn't just kiss her, I touched her, too. And you're just going to sit there like it's nothing?"

Vincent didn't want to hear another word. He pointed sharply toward the door. "Get out."

Daniel, looking utterly worn down, raised his voice. "Vincent, you're heartless. You claim you love her, but you don't. You don't love anyone. You didn't love Scarlett, and you don't love Sabrina."

Vincent's jaw tightened. He kept his hand pointed at the door, biting out the words, "I'm not going to tell you again—get out."

Abbott looked back at Vincent, who was now sitting perfectly still behind his desk, his expression unreadable, almost as if he'd slipped into a trance.

As Daniel walked out of the office, he turned one last time. "Whatever you think, I'm not giving up on her that easily."

Then he turned and left.

Outside in the open workspace, everyone had clearly been following the commotion, but the moment Daniel emerged, all eyes snapped down to desks and screens, pretending to be deeply occupied.

Once Daniel was gone, Abbott stepped back into the office. Seeing Vincent sitting there, head slightly bowed, lost in thought, he decided not to disturb him and quietly withdrew.

Vincent stayed seated at his desk, staring blankly at his computer screen. He couldn't focus on work at all. Daniel's voice kept looping in his head—every accusation, every jab.

He was distracted all morning.

Over and over, he replayed what both Harris and Daniel had said to him. Is it true? Do I really not love anyone?
