Noelle believed that Xenia's mother was definitely connected with the PZ Group. Cedric nodded and said, "I'll have someone investigate the matter in secret after we're done dealing with the matter at hand. It'd be best not to let them notice anything unusual about us."

Noelle was worried. "But what if Mia's actions already tipped them off? Even though she told her lawyer that she was just trying to help me out financially."

"Don't worry. We'll all discuss it together when we get back."

She nodded in agreement. If they could stop PZ Group's scam in advance, they would be able to save many people from losing their money.

The car drove directly to the factory. Noelle saw several media reporters waiting outside and turned to Cedric. "Were these media reporters arranged in advance?"

"Yes, and they're also from credible media outlets. Since our project is part of a government-backed initiative, the reporters will help clear our name and increase our credibility as well."

"That's great."

Noelle then followed Cedric into the factory and saw a pile of hazardous material stacked in front of them.

Cedric explained, "The inventory procurement manager has already been arrested, along with all others who were involved in the bribery. These materials were made from recycled waste, so it doesn't meet our quality standards."

Noelle stared at the materials as she chimed in, "That's right. We had strict requirements for our materials, or they would not meet the criteria for my design specifications.

"We were fooled. We didn't expect them to have been plotting against us all the way back."

The procurement manager was an employee from Aldoria who was promoted to the position. It was apparent that their enemies had been making moves all the way back then. So early, in fact, that there was no plausible way for Cedric and Noelle to defend against them.

Noelle turned to Cedric and said, "We lost so much money. It's going to be hard explaining all of this to the shareholders at our year-end meeting."

Cedric looked at her. "I'm the majority shareholder. If I say that it's not a problem, then it isn't."

She then fell silent. He continued, "What are you thinking about?"

"I'm not backing down against all you rich folks."

The press conference ended smoothly, and the PR department also launched its new marketing strategy as planned. Maple Enterprise's upgraded version of the product officially launched for pre-orders.
