Ivy rushed to the mental hospital with Owen.
Dressed in a hospital gown, a woman stood on the rooftop and spoke to thin air. "Noelle, why'd you slander me?
"You framed me and were jealous that I'm a valedictorian of the college entrance exams! That's why you had the Liddells destroy me!"
Xenia glared at the empty space beside her, her expression one of aggrieved. Ivy reached the rooftop and turned to the doctor nearby. "What's going on?"
"The treatment went well, but she suddenly saw one of our staff watching entertainment news. It mentioned Noelle and Mr. Greene getting engaged, so she suddenly turned uncontrollable."
Ivy sighed while Xenia started shouting, "You're lying! I'm the one destined to marry Mr. Greene! Noelle stole everything and my future from me! She should be kicked out of the Liddell family and left to die in a mental hospital!"
Her emotions were on the brink of collapse. Why was she the one locked up in a mental hospital? Why wasn't it Noelle, the bitch?
Ivy stepped forward and tentatively said, "Come down, Xenia. I'll get you everything you want."
"Who are you? Xenia stared at her, pale and deranged. "You're the one who locked me in here, aren't you? You're working for the Liddells to torture me! Let me out, or I'll jump!"
Her eyes were filled with paranoia. Noelle must want her dead in a mental hospital, just like in her dream.
Ivy panicked. "I'm your mom, Xenia. Can't you see how much we look alike?"
"My mom? My mom doesn't look anything like you! And if you were my mom, why didn't you come for me sooner? Why did you let Noelle steal everything from me? I'm supposed to be the true daughter of the Liddells!"
Confused images flashed through Xenia's mind. In her version of reality, she was the true daughter of the Liddells. Noelle was just a lapdog staying by her side.
She could torment Noelle however she liked, and the Liddells would always protect her. But why had everything changed?
