[Ding! Task Failed!]
Clara blinked in confusion.
She had filled out the entire paper and even earned the teacher's approval. How could she fail?
[Host applied mathematical formulas to answer advanced physics and chemistry questions. This violates academic integrity. Please try harder.]
Clara sighed.
After spending ten years bedridden, the only things she vaguely remembered were basic math equations.
She was a terrible student. Exploiting test-taking tasks was clearly not going to work.
"You have a strong work ethic," Tobias said, reviewing her disastrous answers. "With the right amount of effort, you can turn this around. I believe in you."
[Ding! Host has received genuine encouragement!]
[A perfect heiress must be incredibly knowledgeable. Reward: Memory +1.]
Clara gazed at Tobias with profound respect.
Her homeroom teacher suddenly seemed like a beacon of hope.
Even when she failed a mission, he still managed to trigger rewards for her.
She silently vowed to study hard and repay his unwavering faith in her.
Tobias collected her paper. "Come on. Let's get your textbooks, and I'll show you to the classroom."
Clara followed him into the hallway.
Class One was situated on the third floor, offering a clear view of the Dean's office below.
"Look! Mr. Yates is bringing a new girl!"
"Must be a transfer student. She's actually really pretty."
Forcing a sweet smile, she smoothly changed the subject. "What are you all crowding around for?"
The class president pointed downstairs. "We're getting a transfer student."
Serena looked down.
The moment she spotted Clara, pure venom flashed in her eyes.
Her father really had thrown that bitch into her class. It was a direct insult.
Fluttering her long eyelashes, she murmured softly, "Her name is Clara. She's my older sister."
"The half-sister?" Lillian sneered, looking disgusted. "Isn't she the one raised in the countryside? A pathetic country bumpkin like her doesn't deserve to be related to you."
"Don't say that," Serena pleaded gently. "She's been very sick, so she had to recover away from the city."
Lillian studied her for a moment. "Serena, your eyes are red, and your voice is hoarse. Were you crying all night? She bullied you the second she got back, didn't she?"
