Laurence’s bodyguards got out of the car first.

Out of habit, Noelle stepped forward to open the car door for Laurence, but Manny beat her to it. He smiled and greeted Laurence, “Sir.”

Laurence got out of the car and said to Manny, “Call me Mr. Longbottom while we’re at the company.”

Manny maintained his smile. “Yes.”

Laurence swept his gaze across the senior executives of Longbottom Corporation.

Most of them had crossed paths with him in the business world.

Some were exceptionally capable. He had successfully poached several of them, much to Manny’s fury.

Manny had also tried to poach people from Longtail Group, but their senior management was impossible to lure away.

The person he wanted most was Sonny, but no matter how much money he offered or how generous the benefits, Sonny refused.

Now that he knew the true owners of Longtail Group, everything made sense. No wonder he was unable to recruit Sonny. It was because Sonny was also a major shareholder in Longtail Group.

As such, there was no way Sonny would ever jump ship to Longbottom Corporation.

Manny turned, his expression darkening, and barked, “What are you all standing there for? Hurry up and greet Mr. Longbottom!”

“Good morning, Mr. Longbottom!”

“Hello, Mr. Longbottom!”

The executives hurriedly greeted Laurence.

He merely nodded.

When Noelle fell into step behind him, he marched into the building.

Noelle and the bodyguards quickly followed after Laurence, while Manny had to follow behind her. The remaining executives followed behind Manny and the other bodyguards.

Surrounded by bodyguards, Manny did not dare to act recklessly.

Ten minutes later, Laurence entered the conference room on the top floor. This room was normally reserved for Manny’s senior management meetings. Company meetings were usually held in the large conference hall on the sixtieth floor.

Noelle stepped forward and pulled Laurence’s chair. After he sat down, she stood guard at his side.

The rest of the bodyguards remained stationed outside the conference room.

This was how Laurence traveled wherever he went. Longbottom Corporation and Longtail Group had been rivals for years. Everyone present was familiar with his entourage and had no problems with it. They were already used to it.

Only Manny gritted his teeth silently. So this was the kind of presence that belonged to the true head of the Longbottom family!

He led the senior executives into the conference room. Soon, the rest of the elites in the company arrived and filled the room.
