Lilian beckoned toward the young couple, urging them to sit.
Noelle noticed that everyone’s teacups were running low and wanted to brew a fresh pot.
“Noelle, there’s no need to make another pot of tea. We’ve had quite a few cuppas. If we drink any more, we’ll have trouble sleeping tonight.”
Serenity stopped Noelle, having already enjoyed quite a few cups and light refreshments too.
Jane chimed in, “It’ll be mealtime soon. There’s no need to make more tea. You and Laurence should sit down and rest before the meal.
“At first, we wanted to treat Zachary and Serenity to a good meal outside, but Serenity said it was fine to have a simple meal at home and that there was no need to dine out.”
Lilian continued, “Every one of us knows how to cook. Any random dish we make will be better than anything outside, and most importantly, our ingredients are definitely fresh.”
The food in eateries was sometimes pre-prepared, making it no longer fresh, so it would definitely not be as delicious as something home-cooked.
Of course, even if they all knew how to cook, they did not. There was a chef at home who was part of Laurence’s security detail. His bodyguards could do everything.
Finding two seats, Laurence pulled Noelle to sit.
Noelle was a little embarrassed about being pulled by the hand, and gave the elders a quick glance. She only relaxed a little after seeing that they did not have much reaction.
Holding hands was nothing new to them, but usually, she would not think twice about it. However, ever since Laurence’s confession to her, the moment he touched her, she would feel embarrassed, and even a little shy.
It was astonishing to think that she, so shameless as she was, would actually feel shy.
Was this the taste of love?
She had not given Laurence an answer, and the two had not officially started dating yet.
The elders did not think much about it, however. The two had grown up together. What was the big deal about holding hands?

It had grown hotter over the years.
In the past, Serenity could still jog every morning. This year, the moment it hit summer, she started exercising at their home gym instead, too lazy to go out for a run.
Running on their home treadmill would give her the same effect.
“Yup, Havenmill’s a very popular tourist destination too. Then tomorrow, Noelle and I will bring you guys around.”
Since it was rare for Zachary and Serenity to visit, Laurence felt he should show his hospitality.
“Uncle Zack, Aunt Ser, you guys should stay with me. Don’t go stay in a hotel. I have plenty of guest rooms here, both in this building and the annex.”
Serenity chuckled, “Don’t mind us staying then. Since we’ve come to Havenmill, we’ll shamelessly stay with you for a few days.
“We’ll stay with Jane and Lilian over by the herb garden. I really like the scenery there, and it smells like herbs.”
