Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 989

By the time Stella, Remi, and Seymour reached Mance Island, it was already two in the morning.

They stood on the mountaintop, listening to the fierce fighting below.

“Is that them?” Stella asked.

Remi nodded.

“Yes.”

Stella said nothing.

The battle was even more intense than she had expected.

General Litt was willing to pay such a heavy price to come after Stella because of Summer.

She could not help wondering what Summer had truly meant to that old man.

Back in Harbor City, Summer had never shown the slightest sign that she had any connection to someone as powerful as Litt.

And given Summer’s personality, if she had such an influential man backing her, she would never have kept it hidden until the very end.

So what exactly had their relationship been?

Whatever the answer was, it no longer mattered.

Once Litt was gone, everything would be over.

Summer was already dead.

Now only he remained.

Stella sent out a message.

A response arrived almost immediately.

‘We’re already inside.’

A faint smile touched Stella’s lips.

So Litt wanted her dead?

Then tonight, he could die here instead.

Stella typed another message.

‘Five million extra if it’s over within an hour.’

After sending it, she put her phone away.

It was too dark to see much.

All she could make out were flashes of fire below, accompanied by the sounds of the battle.

“Are you certain none of Felix’s or Aaron’s people followed them here?” Stella asked Seymour.

Ever since learning that Amos intended to move against Litt tonight, she had ordered Seymour to keep a close watch on both Felix and Aaron’s men.

“Some of their people came,” Seymour replied.

Stella’s expression changed immediately.

“But neither of them came in person.”

They had not come themselves, but they had still sent men.

Stella gave a cold laugh.
