“So you want revenge?” Stella asked.
“Am I not allowed to?”
Jennifer truly wanted to teach Monique a lesson.
That vicious woman deserved it.
“Of course you are,” Stella said. “I’ll have someone deal with her for you.”
Jennifer blinked.
“That directly?”
“What else were you planning to do? Sit there and rack your brain trying to outscheme her?”
There was no need to make it complicated.
Jennifer fell silent.
Coming up with some elaborate plan against Monique did sound exhausting.
And she had never liked playing those kinds of games.
“So you’ll really handle her?” Jennifer asked cautiously.
Was Stella serious?
Ever since going to Eirden, Stella seemed to have become far more decisive about everything.
“All right. I’ll help you.”
“Is it really okay to be that direct?”
“What are you worried about?” Stella asked.
“Leon…”
“You’re already leaving him. Are you worried he’ll blame you because of Monique?”
Jennifer said nothing.
“You don’t need to care about that anymore.”
That was true.
If she no longer cared what Leon thought, what was left to hold her back?
Jennifer had instinctively hesitated before.
But after Stella put it that way, there was nothing left to hesitate over.
“All right.”
The single word came out firm.
Stella was right.
Things between Jennifer and Leon had already become this ugly.
She had no intention of staying with him.
Perhaps after this, Leon would decide she was vicious and finally let her go.
Seen that way, Stella’s straightforward approach was not such a bad idea.
“Monique called Leon just now,” Jennifer said. “She claimed someone drugged her and asked him to pick her up.”
“Then I’ll have my people get to her first.”
That made things even easier.
If Monique wanted to create a scene, Stella’s people could simply step in before Leon arrived and remove her from the banquet.
