They had certainly planned everything perfectly.
Jennifer drew in a deep breath.
“This is unbelievable. How could Felix turn out to be that kind of man?”
She truly could not understand him.
Hadn’t he loved Stella?
Back in Harbor City, he had been willing to risk his reputation to fight Evan for her.
So what was this supposed to be now?
“Forget it. I don’t want to talk about them anymore,” Stella said. “What about you? How are things with Leon? And the baby…”
Honestly, given Jennifer’s current situation with Leon, Stella did not think she should keep the baby.
The child would only make their situation even more complicated.
“I’m still pregnant,” Jennifer said. “And I’m getting desperate.”
She had not contacted Stella over the past two weeks because she had been trying to find a solution on her own.
She did not want to drag Stella into her problems with Leon.
So she had focused all her efforts on getting through to him.
But lately, Leon seemed to have lost his mind.
No matter what Jennifer said, he refused to let her terminate the pregnancy.
Yet he had done nothing to resolve the situation with Monique.
“What’s happening with Leon and Monique?” Stella asked.
“His family announced their engagement without even asking him.”
Jennifer’s anger flared again.
“And now everyone sees me as the other woman.”
The Redson family had never considered her good enough for Leon.
They had announced his engagement to Monique even though Jennifer was still carrying his child.
It was their way of telling her not to get any ideas.
“What did Leon say?”
“What can he say? He keeps insisting he’ll take care of it.”
But things had already gone too far.
How could he possibly fix everything now?
Yet Leon still refused to give up.
