Chapter 741
Summer truly had no idea where else to go.
After thinking it over again and again, the only place she could think of was the Wright estate.
The home she had once shared with Steven.
All night long, Summer had replayed countless memories of her life with Steven.
Those days had been the happiest of her life.
If she had not destroyed everything, she would not have ended up like this.
Pain and regret twisted inside her.
After all that inner struggle, all she wanted now was to stay in the place she and Steven had once called home.
At the Wright estate, Gray finished checking the luggage and stepped forward.
“Ms. Rowan, everything is ready. We can leave.”
They had packed everything worth taking.
Anything Stella did not care about, she left behind.
“Then let’s go.”
She glanced at Felix.
Felix nodded and rose to his feet.
Just as Stella stood to leave, one of the housekeepers hurried in from outside.
“Ms. Rowan, Summer is here. She says she wants to see you.”
Stella paused.
Summer?
Hadn’t she already been thrown out? What could she possibly want now?
Felix frowned. “You don’t need to report things like this. She’s not seeing her.”
He was already furious that Evan had disappeared without divorcing Stella.
And he had no patience for anyone from the Wright family.
Especially Summer.
Summer had hurt Stella far too much.
Stella nodded. “I don’t want to see her either.”
Everything that needed to end had ended.
There was no reason t meet again.
“But Summer said she has something important to tell you.”
“What could she possibly have to say?” Felix’s voice turned colder.
“You spent all that time out in the cold. Of course your head hurts now,”
Summer said nothing.
Hearing Stella bring up her past choices with such cold mockery made Summer feel even worse.
She had lost.
Completely.
She had lost to the woman she had never considered worth noticing.
Summer had never thought she could lose to Stella.
But now she had lost everything.
Not wanting to answer, Summer only said through a tight throat, “I’m going to live here.”
As she said it, she thought of Steven again.
Tears spilled down her face.
Stella lifted a brow but said nothing.
She only looked at Summer with open contempt.
Summer sniffed. “This was Steven’s and my home.”
She choked on the words, but there was still a trace of stubbornness in her voice.
