Chapter 720
“No. That’s impossible!”
How could Evan have blocked her number? She was his mother.
Unwilling to believe she had been blocked, Dora called Evan again.
The result was the same.
One ring, then the call cut off.
Dora said nothing.
Her chest was rising and falling wildly now.
Still refusing to give up, she snatched Fiona’s phone and called Evan from it.
The same thing happened.
He had not only blocked his mother.
He had blocked his own sister too.
What was he trying to do?
What was going on?
Dora looked at Stella, barely able to breathe. “Can you get in touch with him?”
“He blocked me too. What, did he block all of you as well?”
Dora said nothing.
The words “blocked” and “all of you” made it even harder to breathe.
Stella said, “Now this is strange. I can understand him blocking me, but why block all of you too?”
Dora said nothing.
Fiona said nothing.
They looked at each other.
Shock filled both their eyes.
They did not understand either.
Why had Evan blocked them?
Why?
Dora said, “You don’t know where he went either?”
“You’re his mother. If you don’t know, why would I?”
Dora said nothing.
She really had asked a pointless question.

What exactly was Evan trying to do?
In the end, Dora and Fiona did not know how they made it out of the room.
Fiona supported Dora, whose entire body had gone weak. “Mom, what does Evan mean by this?”
“How would I know? He blocked me!”
Dora finally lost control and shouted.
Fiona said nothing.
Dora said, “That brat. What is he trying to do?”
He had given Stella Wright Group and every dollar the Wright family had.
Yet he had not divorced Stella.
And now he had disappeared too.
What was he trying to do?
The more they thought about it, the less they understood.
Dora was shaking with anger.
Fiona was furious too. “What do we do now? We have to leave this place. Where are we supposed to sleep tonigh
They had no money left.
And now it seemed that Stella and Evan not being fully finished with each other was not necessarily good for the
either.
The money was gone.
How could they possibly have a good life now?
Dora took several deep breaths. “We’ll stay with your third sister. What else can we do?”
Before, they had not dared go to Yara’s place.
They knew Stella’s temper. When Stella had been determined to punish them, if they moved in with Yara, Stella would probably burn Yara’s house too.
But now things were different.
Fiona said, “Then should we leave now?”
“Let’s go ”
What else could they do?
Their belongings had already been tossed out of the basement.
They could not even go back there now.
The Wright estate…
Ever since Dora had married Harold, she had lived there.
For all these years, she had treated it as her home.
But now…
Dora stared at the grand gates of the Wright estate, dazed.
Her heart ached sharply.
“I really am the sinner of the Wright family,” she said painfully.
For generations, the Wright family’s matriarchs had lived there.
Every woman before her had managed to preserve the family home.
But when it came to her, everything had been lost.
At that moment, Dora knew that once she left this place, returning would be almost impossible.
Fiona brought over their things and handed some to Dora. “Mom, let’s go.”
Her heart hurt too.
But what could they do?
They could not hold on to it.
Tears slid down Dora’s face.
She was furious with Evan, but she could not find him anywhere.
“A sinner… I’m a sinner,” Dora murmured.
“Don’t say that about yourself.”
Hearing Dora blame herself, Fiona felt terrible too.
