“So you’ve completely taken Evan’s side now, haven’t you?” Felix demanded.
His voice turned noticeably colder at the mention of Evan.
Ever since learning that Evan was still alive, Felix had been restless.
Especially now that Stella was with him.
Felix had once been close to Evan.
He knew exactly how shameless the man could become when he wanted something.
And now Stella was right there beside him.
That was anything but good news for Felix.
“Felix,” Stella warned.
“You knew all along that he was alive.”
Felix cut her off before she could finish, his voice strained with suppressed emotion.
“You also knew he intended to come after us.”
She had known Evan was targeting both Felix and Aaron.
Yet she had never sent word that Evan was alive.
So she had chosen his side completely.
“After everything he did to you, how could you…”
Felix’s voice tightened until he could barely continue.
Back in Harbor City, Evan had hurt Stella again and again.
She had suffered so much because of him.
And yet when something happened, she had still chosen to stand beside Evan.
“Have you forgotten everything he put you through?”
“Or do you really love him that much? So much that no matter how badly he treats you, you’ll still choose him?”
The more Felix spoke, the more obvious his jealousy became.
He was jealous of Evan.
What right did that man have?
Stella did not bother correcting Felix’s assumptions.
She did not explain that she had only just learned Evan was alive.
The truth was, his survival had shocked her too.
At the Black Sea, Evan had been caught between Litt, Felix, and Aaron.
Surviving that ambush should have been impossible.
