The Wright family was already in ruins.
Evan had once been one of the few people who treated Yara well, so she did not want him coming to Eirden and getting hurt.
And then there was Stella.
“Please, just stay with Stella and treat her well. I’m begging you.”
Evan’s chest tightened painfully at her words.
“Don’t worry. It’ll all be over soon.”
“I told you not to come!”
When Evan refused to listen, Yara screamed into the phone in desperation.
The door suddenly swung open.
Aaron’s tall figure appeared in the doorway.
Yara’s hand trembled in fright, and the phone slipped from her fingers.
Aaron’s expression was dark and terrifying.
Her heart pounded as he walked into the room one measured step at a time.
He bent down and picked up her phone.
The call was still connected.
Evan’s anxious voice came through the speaker.
“Yara? Yara, what happened?”
He had heard the phone fall and feared something had happened to her.
Yara stared at Aaron, her face pale and her eyes filled with fear.
He was insane.
A monster.
Aaron looked at her coldly before raising the phone to his ear.
“When will you arrive in Eirden?” he asked.
Evan froze when he heard Aaron’s voice.
“Don’t you dare hurt her.”
“Hurt her?” Aaron replied coldly. “It’s a little late to worry about boundaries now.”
“You bastard!”
“Did you bring Stella?”
Aaron ignored Evan’s fury completely.
“Yes,” Evan said. “So stop tormenting Yara.”
“Fine.”
