Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 1003

“Anyway, she refuses to let my people stay with her now,” Amos said. “She probably doesn’t trust me.”

Remi and Seymour had been sent to protect Stella in Amos’s name.

But now…

She did not even trust Aaron or Felix anymore, much less Amos.

Evan’s breathing grew heavier.

Of course.

Even the people closest to Stella had betrayed her trust.

And then there was him.

Back in Harbor City, she had trusted him more than anyone.

And what had he done?

He had disappointed her completely.

Was that why she no longer trusted anyone?

A dull ache spread through Evan’s chest.

“You need to recover quickly,” Amos said. “You know how clever she is. She could shake Remi and Seymour at any moment.”

It was entirely possible.

Evan knew that once Stella made up her mind, she would find a way to carry it out.

She was probably already planning how to lose Remi and Seymour.

After all, she did not trust either of them.

The thought that she might disappear again made Evan’s head throb.

“Tell Remi to stay with her every hour of the day,” he ordered coldly. “They eat together, sleep in the same room, everything.”

Amos hesitated.

“Isn’t that going a little too far?”

They were both women, but giving Stella no privacy at all would undoubtedly infuriate her.

Before Evan could respond, Amos continued, “Think about it. If Remi watches her that closely, Stella will only become more convinced that I’m planning something against her. Then she’ll definitely run.”

She already distrusted Amos and wanted to leave.

If Remi followed her everywhere, even sleeping in the same room, Stella would assume Amos had some hidden agenda.

She was already extremely guarded.

And when she felt threatened, there was no telling what she might do.
