Xander Harrison spoke. "First of all, he claimed the account holder of that bank card was Finnegan Fletcher. But according to my previous investigation, Finnegan's personal finances during that period were managed exclusively by The Fletcher Wealth Management Group. He never directly opened any bank cards under his own name."
Nora Newman frowned. "Are you saying...?"
Xander nodded. "I'm saying, if that card was truly opened with Finnegan as the beneficiary, the team would have been notified. Any outside involvement would leave a paper trail. But Frederick Fletcher couldn't produce any bank statements or records. His evidence doesn't hold up. It's highly likely this is just their family's internal power struggle, and they want to drag you down with them."
Nora nodded in agreement. "I had the same suspicion."
Xander continued, "Also, his description of the accident involving your mother and brother was far too detailed. It was as if he experienced it himself."
Xander looked away, adjusting his glasses. "I reviewed some of the rescue records during my investigation. Official scene reports don't use such colloquial, dramatic phrasing. The things he said sound completely fabricated. He only said them for one reason: to make you lose your mind from the pain."
Nora finally calmed down. Just thinking about his gruesome description made her chest tighten with a suffocating pain, and tears spilled out.
