I Was His Wife, Then His Widow, Then No One's But My Own novel Chapter 301

Finnegan kept the plans they discussed at the main estate a secret from Seraphina. Her emotions were far too volatile lately, and telling her would only send her spiraling further.

"Yeah, we were discussing wedding plans," he finally said.

Seraphina's eyes sparkled as she looked at him. "So what did Grandpa say? When are we doing the engagement shoot? When are we signing the papers? Is the date set?"

Seraphina couldn't wait any longer. If she didn't marry Finnegan soon, she was genuinely terrified Nora would use some underhanded trick to steal him away.

She had waited for so many years; she couldn't afford to wait another second.

"Seraphina, we haven't finalized anything yet. That's why I came back to talk it over with you. Tell me what you think. Whatever ideas you have, just let me know."

Seraphina thought about it, already picturing herself in a gorgeous wedding dress. She imagined an extravagant outdoor ceremony on a pristine lawn, flanked by her loved ones, witnessing the happiest moment of her life.

But fantasy was just fantasy. Deep down, she knew such a grand wedding wasn't realistic right now. She offered a sweet, understanding smile.

"Finn, as long as I get to be with you, anything is fine. Even if we don't have a ceremony or take photos, as long as we make it official on paper, that's enough for me."

Finnegan pulled her into his arms. "Seraphina, I know you're willing to compromise, but I'm not. I have to give you the magnificent wedding you deserve. Just give me a little more time, okay?"

Hearing this made her ecstatic. If he was this determined, the wedding was practically guaranteed. There was no way it wasn't happening now.

"Okay, I'll wait for you."
