I Was His Wife, Then His Widow, Then No One's But My Own novel Chapter 246

Seraphina fell silent for a few seconds, as if grappling with an incredibly difficult decision.

Then she let out a soft chuckle, her voice reverting to her usual considerate, best-friend tone. "Alright. Come find me, then. I'll send you the address. You probably shouldn't show your face in public right now. Since Nora is still suing you, it'd be bad if the court officials tracked you down."

Sienna hastily agreed, thanking her profusely before hanging up.

She wiped the tears from her face, crawled out of the bed in her dingy rental, and started rummaging for clothes to wear out. Her gratitude toward Seraphina knew no bounds.

Seraphina really was the best to her, stepping up to help when she had absolutely nowhere else to turn.

At the same time, her hatred for Nora peaked. She clenched her fists so hard her nails dug crescent moons into her palms, swearing an oath in her heart.

Nora, once I get out of this mess, I will never let you off the hook!

After ending the call, the gentle smile on Seraphina's face instantly vanished. A malicious glint flashed in her eyes as she clenched her hand into a tight fist.

The one thing she despised more than anything in this world was being threatened. Who the hell did Sienna think she was? Did she really believe she could hold this over her head?

She knew too much, and she was far too greedy. Today, she had crossed the line.

People like her could never be satisfied. Today she used the secret to extort money; tomorrow she'd use it to force her into anything.

This liability had to be completely eliminated!

Seraphina scoffed coldly, picked up her phone, and dialed another number. Her voice was flat and entirely void of emotion. "Bring the package up. Yes, to my office. You have ten minutes."

She gripped her phone tightly, her knuckles turning white.

She knew she would bounce back from this. Once this blew over, she would find a way to make Nora pay the price.

Soon, she arrived at the address Seraphina had texted her and followed the staff's directions up to The Amber Lounge.

When she pushed open the door, Seraphina was already inside. Spotting Sienna, she immediately flashed a warm smile and waved her over.

"Come here, Sienna. I brought everything you need. It's right here."

Sienna's eyes lit up, a fleeting trace of greed flashing across her face.
