It was Finn.
Only one thought crossed Sienna's mind: run.
She absolutely refused to let him see her in this miserable, hungover state; it was far too humiliating.
She spun around, only to trip over her own feet, her forehead slamming hard against the glass sliding door behind her.
Her vision went black as she tumbled backward.
Hitting the floor, her ears rang violently.
Something warm trickled down her temple, sliding over her brow bone. She reached up, and her fingertips came away stained crimson.
Finn rushed over, his footsteps frantic and heavy.
He crouched down, his fingers brushing her shoulder. His voice carried a tension she had never heard before.
"Sienna!"
She kept her head buried, pressing her palm against her forehead as blood seeped through her fingers.
Without looking at him, she forced her voice to stay even.
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Go back to whatever you were doing."
"What could I possibly be doing?" Finn let out a sound of disbelief. "You're bleeding, and you think you're fine? Let's get you to a hospital!"
He reached out, trying to gently tilt her face up to examine the wound.
Sienna stubbornly dodged his touch, shrinking back.
"I am a doctor. I don't need a hospital. I said I'm fine, so I'm fine!"
She was mortified.
That split second of panic had caused her to trip. She had wanted to escape, but instead, she ended up fully exposed to him, hitting a new low of embarrassment.
Finn stayed crouched in front of her, his brows knit together. He didn't force his touch on her again, but he didn't stand up either.
He watched her for a couple of seconds.
"You drank a lot."
Sienna felt her ears burn.
She could even smell the stale alcohol and overnight sweat on herself. She just wanted the floor to swallow her whole.
"Can you disappear for a minute? Please!" she finally snapped, glaring up at him.
Finn stood up.
Taking a half-step back, his gaze shifted from the bleeding cut on her forehead to her messy hair, then away.
"Can you manage?" he asked.
