Her heart throbbed with excruciating pain.
Had she truly pushed things too far?
No.
She had done exactly what needed to be done.
She firmly believed that.
Thinking of this, Sienna gave a curt nod.
"That's right. From this moment on, we go our separate ways. We owe each other nothing."
Finn's gaze remained locked on Sienna as a single tear escaped his bloodshot eyes.
Sienna couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Was he crying?
She had never seen him cry!
But he was crying now.
The tear spilled over his lashes, tracing a slow path down his swollen, bruised cheek.
He didn't wipe it away. He just stood there, staring at her, as the tears fell one by one.
Silently, without another word, the tears just fell.
It felt as though someone had reached in and brutally crushed Sienna's heart.
She opened her mouth, wanting to say something.
But Finn didn't wait.
"Fine." His voice was entirely broken, grating like shattered glass. "We owe each other nothing."
He turned and walked away.
His leather shoes echoed heavily against the floor, each step dragging as if his legs were bound in lead.
His silhouette grew smaller and smaller in the vast, empty banquet hall until he finally disappeared through the doors.
He was gone.
Ford was still standing there.
He glared at Sienna and let out a vicious scoff.
"You think you've won? You severely underestimate the Fletcher family. What exactly do you think your little tricks can overthrow? It's all pointless. You've made an enemy of the Fletcher family, and your life is going to be hell from now on. Let me remind you of one more thing: you wounded Finn deeply tonight. He will never protect you again!"
Sienna looked at him, raised her phone, and pressed play.
Ford's own voice echoed from the speaker:
He couldn't be bothered to spare Sienna another glance.
In his world, Sienna was nothing but an insect, completely unworthy of his energy.
The fact that he had entertained a calm conversation with her earlier was already granting her the utmost privilege.
And yet, she had the audacity to call the police and blow the situation out of proportion.
Then she couldn't blame him for showing no mercy.
As Sienna walked out of the banquet hall, she realized that to protect the Fletcher family's reputation and their tangled web of interests, Grant would absolutely find a way to bail Yolanda out.
Once Yolanda was free, everything would snap right back to how it was.
Sienna absolutely refused to let that happen.
She had to push Grant over the edge.
She had to make him feel the full weight of his wife's betrayal, completely severing any desire he had to save her, forcing him to abandon her with his own two hands.
With that in mind, Sienna hurried after Grant.
Grant's car was waiting at the hotel entrance. Just as he was about to slide into the back seat, Sienna stepped forward but was immediately blocked by a bodyguard. She looked directly at Grant.
"Mr. Fletcher, I have one last thing to tell you..."
