Grant's expression instantly darkened.
No one had ever dared speak to him like this.
With his current status, everyone treated him with the utmost reverence and caution.
He never imagined that this insignificant, small-time doctor he viewed as nothing more than an ant would dare to challenge him publicly.
Even Finn panicked for a second.
He knew it was over.
Sienna had offended his father; she would likely lose her job at the hospital.
He grabbed Sienna's arm and lowered his voice.
"Don't be reckless. Let me get you out of here first, okay?"
Sienna looked at Finn.
"What about the apology?"
Finn's palms were drenched in sweat. He hadn't flinched when he was struck, but the moment Sienna was in danger, his anxiety skyrocketed.
"I'll find another way, alright? Your safety is what matters most right now."
Sienna threw off Finn's hand.
"No," she paused, "I'm perfectly safe."
Saying that, she turned her gaze back to Grant.
Grant's eyes were venomous, gleaming like a blade ready to be drawn.
Sienna reached into her pocket and pulled out a flash drive.
She held it up, the overhead lights catching the metallic surface and reflecting a sharp glint.
"I've made multiple copies of what's on here. There are three backed up on the cloud. If anything whatsoever happens to me, all of the files will be automatically distributed."
Grant wasn't impressed in the slightest.
"You think you can threaten me with some random garbage?"
"Is that so, Mr. Fletcher? What if I told you the contents of this drive could destroy the entire Fletcher family's reputation? Are you willing to gamble on that?"
Sienna's voice wasn't loud, but every single person in the banquet hall heard her clearly.
"I'm not asking for much. Just fulfill the promise. Have Mrs. Fletcher apologize to me in front of everyone."
Yolanda was trembling with rage as she pointed a finger at Sienna.
"You!"
Sienna smiled, a cold curve of her lips.
"It's easy to invite trouble, but much harder to get rid of it. Since I'm here today, I'm not leaving easily."
Taking a deep breath, she raised her voice.
"Sienna, I am sorry. What I did in the past was wrong."
Sienna looked at her.
"What exactly was wrong?"
"I shouldn't have torn you and Finn apart. But as a mother, surely you can understand. I bore you no ill will; I only wanted the best for my son."
Yolanda put on the facade of an earnest, grieving mother.
Looking at that face, Sienna felt utterly sick to her stomach.
Finn shut his eyes in agony.
He couldn't bring himself to force his mother, nor could he tell Sienna to back down.
He could only stand there, letting the torture consume him.
Yolanda let out a heavy sigh.
"Miss Sterling, is this satisfactory?"
Sienna shook her head.
"Not quite. Since you won't say it, I'll say it for you. You forced me out of the country, then hired a hitman to kill me. I nearly died by your hands. Why did you conveniently leave that part out?"
