It was as if the skills were hardwired into her muscle memory. Her hands intuitively flew across the keyboard, writing code, while her brain precisely analyzed the feasibility of every data point. Even her sudden bursts of inspiration were grounded in solid logic.

She didn't know how Sienna had gotten her hands on that data, but since Sienna wanted to build it so badly, Zoe decided to let her. She wasn't going to compete.

"I'll call Easton Group right now. We are pulling out of this project."

With Zoe on board, Garrett felt like he had struck gold.

Right in front of Zoe, Garrett called Hayden and put him on speaker. However, a woman answered the phone.

Zoe instantly recognized Sienna's voice. Ever since Sienna became the CEO of Easton Group, the two had been practically inseparable.

Garrett immediately regretted using the speakerphone, worried it might upset Zoe.

But Zoe didn't care at all.

Lately, whenever she thought of Hayden and Sienna together, that subconscious sting of heartbreak was fading away.

It was rare for her to even spare a thought for Hayden anymore.

This was exactly how they had started out. She had experienced a brief infatuation with him at first sight, but it was never a deep, foundational love.

As for the events of the past five years, she had buried them.

To her, Hayden was no different from a stranger.

"Ms. Winters, we are passing on the project you pitched," Garrett stated firmly, trusting Zoe's judgment completely.

"You misunderstand, Garrett. I presented the feasibility data specifically because I want to co-develop this companion robot with Sterling Group. We provide the blueprints, and you manufacture the physical product. Isn't that a match made in heaven?"

Zoe actually laughed out loud at that. Seeing she had something to say, Garrett handed her the phone.

"Sienna, you're feeding us fairy tales. You bring some worthless data and market research to the table, expect Sterling's engineers to do all the heavy lifting, and then you get to patent the results? Keep dreaming."

Sienna was stunned. She hadn't realized Garrett and Zoe had grown so close. How could Garrett let an outsider in on such a confidential business conversation?

"Hayden—"

Out of options, Sienna audaciously began whining to Hayden for help, right while Garrett and Zoe were listening.
